That makes sence. In the Civil War there were Provost Marshalls that were in charge of prisoners and keeping order. A very similar role to the modern day MP's as you said.

Any other requests?

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Actually that's a Hussard de la Mort, a French formation from the 1790s. Notice the cockade on the Mirleton?

Or better, notice the artist's inscription in the lower left

Any requests? Should have about every faction.
If you can find some Russian Grenadier/Foot Guard/ Musketeer pics with the uniform clearly shown and good detail, not like an art thing. Or some Prussian Brandenburg infantry pics

Pwn'ed.

Anywho, I'm a huge fan of the Russian uniforms and regiments of the time. Here are some of my favorite units and illustrations of them.

Russo-German Legion, Jaeger Company/Magdeburger Jaeger Bataillon
I actually requested this skin to be made by Bluehawk for a regiment I made, and this is the best picture I can find of them. He shows multiple angles in his preview of the unit. Amazing and well done.

Cossack Lancers of the Guard/Lifeguard Cossacks

Can't go wrong with the Pavlovskiy Guard Grenadiers (Picture also contains an illustration of a Jaeger from the Russo-German Legion)

Profoss=Provost, so he is some kind of military police

Makes sense, that axe he has (Called a Fasces if I remember right?) was a tool used by Roman guardsmen. It's a commonly used insignia in emblems for US MP units.
