What is this?

The Prussian Army (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,222875.0.html) is a collection of regiments with a common dedication to discipline and cooperation. We are looking for a diverse game experience focused on organized infantry tactics, and to this end we have decided to host a weekly linebattle. Every sunday, we wish to invite a small number of like-minded regiments to join us on the battlefield for a few bouts of the most gentlemanly warfare this game has to offer.

Interested regiments should read through the rules carefully. We are looking for a level of infantry organization that will not suit everyone, and we have no interest in spending time explaining rules that could be used for productive activities such as mustache trimming or bayonet charging. If you are still interested, we welcome your application, see below for how to go about it.

Class Limits:

Infantry: 10-30
Light Infantry: 10-16
Cav: 8-16
Skirmishers: 6-12  +  1 sapper (optional)
Artillery: 4-8 no guards. No more than one cannon, may bring a cannon and a howitzer or two howitzers.
Rocketeers: 4-6

Rules:

These rules will not be enforced zealously, but we are looking for a mature, orderly game environment. Behavior that is
considered disruptive will be actively discouraged, regardless of whether the rules technically permit it.

Line Infantry may only fire in a static line formation.

Line infantry above 10 must form at least double ranks in order to fire.

Light infantry and skirmishers may employ loose formation, defined as roughly 3-4 men spacing between each man.

Line infantry garrisoning a building may ignore formation firing rules. A unit entering a garrisoned
building may fire out of formation as part of the assault.

Dragoons may fire off horseback while in a line formation, stationary or not.

If one side is reduced to three men or below, both sides may disregard normal rules in order to reach
a swift conclusion to the round.

Sappers may not be used to barricade buildings.
