Lol. According to some official history paper published by the Walloon government, Wallonia was part of France while Flanders was part of the Netherlands, and thus there were no French-speaking Belgians in the Dutch army in 1815. Couldn't be further from the truth, really, but that's what they just love claiming.

Wallonia got rejected at birth by mother France and so Flanders took pitty on it and invented it to his home. The uneasy marriage that followed is what they now call "Belgium".
