Don't mean to sound so rude, but can you please stop posting these requests in other threads. If you read the first page, it says that he doesn't take requests. Most of these threads are for NW reskins anyway, not NaS.

Gotta hand it to ya' Viriathus. This mod is amazing! It's very refreshing as NW gets stale. Although, I hope to see the texture glitches patched up soon. Doesn't ruin the experience though. This and the effects and sounds from Baillie's Immersion Pack = Best NW experience to date.  ;D

Does anyone know which files to add to my game if I just want the graphical terrain/skybox/texture updates? Nothing for troops or horses or UI, just the graphical stuff? I've been trying to do it on my own with trial and error but its difficult, I managed near success but then ran into this problem of phantom tree meshes that I can't fix, on some maps there are just these white mesh structures of trees of varying kinds, sometimes only one, sometimes more, I can't figure out what the issue could be there.

So if anyone has already managed to figure out how to just install the graphical stuff for the environment skybox/terrain and HD textures for environment props/flora I would be really grateful if you could share how, I've hit a snag in my attempts, the whole mod is just so integrated its hard to separate the specific individual aspects that I want and not run into errors and conflicts along the way, pics related.

What really has me confused is that these meshes don't show up when I start up the vanilla game from my backup files, there are no trees in these locations, and its not just on and between these rocks, there are sparse but random tree meshes on other maps, all white, that when the mod files are removed, they are gone too, no trees there, these are phantom trees and it has me stumped.

EDIT: Nevermind, I seem to have it all working fine, I gave it another go and was really checking and double checking, I probably missed a resource file before it works now, although there are no longer any random tree meshes missing textures on the maps there are still snowy trees within the rocks on snow maps but I like how they look so it doesn't bother me anymore. I only have some troops with missing textures now that I need to fix, shouldn't be difficult.

I gotta say I love the hell out of this mod, these graphical enhancements are so damn beautiful, especially the skybox.

If I may ask, what exactly do you have to do to add he graphical enhancements only? I've been considering doing it myself, but I was worried I would just mess something up.

I understand the pros and cons of armies, I was a member of one in NaS, but I have mixed feelings about it. It does keep a community alive, like the UA and DA have done for NaS, but it also can create drama within the community. That causes the community to split. I'm all for armies, but as long as no drama starts.

Just remember, you chaps have done all the bloody hard work already! You've brought this thing to life even if it's only in beta, so what can we do to keep her running...Well armies is an easy and quick-ish way, but it will end up with two or more people being in charge of large portions of the community which as we've seen in NaS can be good...but also corrupt as all hell. Dev run armies? Could work I guess, I mean you seem to be more then happy to take control and it would allow you to personally shape the community.

I can imagine it would be rather easy to pull this rabble together and form them into something with a purpose, and it could damn well help with growing the community, promoting via youtube etc. If I was you? I'd gather up as many leaders as you can and see what they all think, remember the public are the life blood, however you will also need the heart.


"I'm happy if the mod is only played for 4 months"- Perhaps we could put that on the tombstone for this thread?

Here is a list of things I'd like to see, you can add them if you wish, or not:

- Ironsights for muskets
- New blood
- Longer and better ragdolls
If only blood splattered against walls, or the ground, in this game  ::)

Sorry random question, but what, if any, other skins do you plan adding?

Edit: I've been getting this weird bug when I, or someone else, shoots a musket. It sometimes leaves a fire trail.

Not sure if anyone else has this bug, but when a cannon fires, it doesn't produce a sound. I can hear the fuse lightning and ending, but I don't hear the actual "blast" from when the cannon fires.
