Surprised 7pp wasn't picked for league 2 considering they are quite alot older than most of those regiments.
Just get 6te or 5th to League 1. Both may not been as skilled as other regiments there but 5th can bring a strong attendance and give bick fights which is always enjoyable, and 6te have been here forever it seems and surely deserve that spot too. That way, you can free a spot in League 2 for the 7pp, and relegate Movement's regiment back to this 'Contenders League', if it ever happens.

Most of the regiments for this season are selected now. We have 4 more spots though which we will assign after the end of the sign-ups tomorow.

IVe didn't attend nwl for several seasons so i had no need to claim this as long it didn't concern me/us...
Then when i had to lead it, i never camped a hill, i've always prefered to loose some rounds/matchs than beeing considered as a cancer campers reg.
Moreover IVe wasn't terrifying others regs that much, so most of opponents just didn't camp.

Maybe we can make custom maps: insanely small arenas with hills on the sides so a regiment can hide all they want but then the other guys chasing them don't get cucked by having to run in the open for 2 minutes. One of the problems we had with custom maps in nwcl was that one used in the quarter finals i believe between us and the KKA was quite heavily advantaged to one side as they got to a hill first that offered a pretty significant vantage point over the opposite team, also there were no sideswaps in that tourney for reasons I cannot remember which led to a very bad time, I will link video when I'm on my pc. To be honest, every tournament is going to play out differently then the other depending on the regiments who play in them. Every NWL that I can remember had regiments which would either camp or try to avoid getting caught in the melee straight away before getting some shooting kills in, Nr24 vs HB korps, 91st vs KKA, 92nd vs 14e, 15thYR vs 51st, etc. (I could type a decent list but currently doing this on my phone)
It's worth mentioning that Dark Knight is also still one of those old school people that understand this,
I remembered we did 1v1's against the IVe as 17e and the fights were always enjoyable as it always came down to proper volleys, close quarter shooting and melee to finish it off.
My point is obviously everyone wants to claim a title in NW atleast ones but if you are truely that motivated to claim such a title you should try your absolute hardest to train properly with your regiment in terms of melee and formations and during the match out lead your opponent.
The tactics that we got to see by the 72nd during the NWL vs 15thYR was but everything mentioned above.
In the end it's the leaders in NW that keep this community going but it doesn't surprise me anymore that when people get called for a 1v1 they rather skip it because they will remember matches like 72nd vs 15thYR or any other camping trip experience and tbh I would rather not play those anymore either and because of that NW has turned into a gf walhalla where the only skill is your melee skill instead of the combined effort of leading and melee.
The veterans and ping players you won't hear those complain because they are getting off at this current state of the game.

Like seriously though if you join the server and consent to a map with a big hill without an intention to use it then you deserve to fucking loose. You can't then complain about it afterwards. Also considering Rommel camped literally every 1v1 while in command of the 72nd its a little rich to then start whining about it.

On an actually serious note though, if you want actually fun 1v1's where regiments shouldnt camp, then do casual 1v1's against them (12pp and Nr55/8th/2nd/electricbogaloo excluded), regiment leaders especially take these tournaments seriously so you can't go into every match with an expectation, regiments play differently depending on the circumstances.
