Oh certainly, some leather boots, or a brass helmet would not be effective against arms of the time under almost all circumstances, and those where they would be (say a tangential shot) wouldn't be worth representing, or may be borderline impossible to represent. That being said, I do beg to differ when it comes to melee, where item stats could feasibly come into play. Cuirasses (not relevant here), metal helmets, and knee-high jackboots of the period were worn at least partially for practical reason from my understanding.

Like I said though, I'm really just grasping at straws, minor details that have always bugged me.

All of that aside, fine work with the mod! I really like the gunplay, maybe just because it is something new as opposed to the same old NW. This brings me back to the old days of playing Battle Grounds 2, an American Revolutionary War mod for Half-Life 2.

I already did it. 2Lhr (my regiment) will have soon a version, where you dont even need a clientmod ;)

It doesn't matter, cause its server handled.

You could even make new, unique unit classes, with own uniforms, which will be available for that server only. The client does not need the stuff, when the server owns it.
Its working for 2 factions per team the same way, also for lot of other fancy options (like 2 flags, musicians in commander battles)
