While I agree that events without any melee at all would be missing a key part of what makes NW fun, you do also have to consider that the shooting system presented for BCoF is already more complex than it is at the moment for NW and may well be more skill based than random. Also I doubt that melee will disappear completely since eve with more accurate weapons the reload time is still significant and a big enough and well timed charge could still hit home.

What I don't want to see is BCoF be driven by the part of NW's community who think that melee is the only part of the game and that people who try and snipe/ prefer to avoid melee are just bad at the game. Melee is only 1 part of the game.

Well, from watching that video I wouldn't say much change is needed in terms of the score. The first officer aim against Marks we cannot see clearly, but if Marks is indeed right, the person that shot him was the one left over at the end, and if Marks was not in the middle of the line nor standing in line then the score should be changed to reflect this.

I would just like to point out that the officer target was done by 95th_Belmont who if you notice in the video apologised immediately after and was them shot. He was not the last guy at all. Also the last guy happened to be a South African with 400 ping who usually couldn't out melee a goldfish so...

Nice videos! Now I need to get caught up with the arty ones!

Do you want me to edit them too as I'm kind of getting addicted to doing to night, i enjoy editing more then the event, although maybe I should try cutting them down more(I might be the only one who actually watch the hour long one that people put up on you tube)... or I should make a video for the weeks best bits!

Hmm I'm probably going to stick with highlights for the arty since watching the entire hour can get a bit repetitive but for rifles and NWL an hour long/ slightly less edited version might go well since you are on the move and engaged a lot more.

Though I really like the idea of videoing public severs since we get up to some hilarious stuff on pub servers and the random chat that results in TS is great
