My favourite moment of all the Sharpe books comes in Sharpe’s Waterloo when our hero does so much for the British cause by shooting the Prince who was, by far, the least capable commander on the field, yet whose monument now dominates the landscape.

It would be a shame if we accidentally loaded our muskets with balls, and accidentally aim them at him.

Also, that picture at the top. That is absolutely NOT from Sharpe's Waterloo, no matter what they claim.

On closer inspection, those uniforms looks very dirty and beaten up like in Sharpe, if those are reenactors then they overdoing the campaign look a tad. And some of the guns look a bit fake, but I'm not sure if that's because of the shitty camera that was used or because they actually are fake.

Overdoing the campaign look? The campaign look could get a hell of a lot worse than that. If you read first hand accounts, the conditions of uniforms are described as being significantly worse than that. The weather, heavy smoke, and sleeping on the ground will do that.

We can't all have Waterloo quality... Besides, wasn't Sharpe orignally a low-budget?

Yes. And the Quality is not Full-HD, but it is significantly better than the normal DVD or Internet versions.

Only good thing about the Sharpe TV series is the casting. Everything else is complete shite

I bought sharpe on Blu-Ray and I can confirm that a lot of their guns are actually fake guns. But they try to keep these fake guns in the background as much as possible. They also seem to be using originals quite a lot.

In the Patriot for example, large numbers of troops in the background held rubber muskets, and several were homeless individuals.

It's only the idea that sets back, unless you know what to look for and you actually look carefully for it, you're not going to notice.
