MotoGP starts this weekend, F1 next one. Thanks god we survived the winter.

Anybody else excited? Predictions?

Ferrari looks super sweet this year, hope the pilots will do their job now

Ferrari were quickest in testing, but they were quickest last year too. McLaren getting so little running is a bit of a concern. Vettel ran more laps than McLaren.

Although GP2 (yes, I know they rebranded, but I refuse to call a spec series "formula") is the series to watch as far as I'm concerned. Looks like at least seven different drivers all have a decent shot for the championship and they can still overtake in that series.

Well, we saw three manufacturers with three different engines all with enough pace to contend, but next to zero overtaking. Qualifying will be interesting this year, anyway.

True but it's not very easy to overtake in Melbourne tho, will be better in other races.
Haas look pretty fast too, shame for the mistakes they did..
Happy for Alonso, who finally has a decent engine!

There are few things I enjoy more in open wheel racing than listening to Alex Jacques and Davide Valsecchi analyze an Artem Markelov overtake . . . the feature race was great.

This is the season where Vettel should win it. Imo hes the better driver anyways but thats just my opinion

Besides that Mercedes sucks ass in terms of strategies (even more than ferrari)

As long as the bad luck doesnt show up again on Ferraris side i think Seb got this.

It's a bit too early to say that. Who knows how the upcoming seasons are going to go for him, it may be more realistic that he'll beat Schumacher in GP wins, but I guess that will take him another 2 season as well.

Alright, 4 races into the new season and we've already had our share of Vettel Spins, Ricciardo DNF's and Ferrari strategy fails  ;D 
I am generally enjoying the shake-up with new drivers on different teams though, it's nice to see McLaren and Räikkönen bring some new colours into the top10.
Bottas is off to a great start, I hope he can keep that up for the rest of the season

I really hope for a Bottas vs Hamilton like Rosberg vs Hamilton in 2016. This would be the only thing to make the races interesting again, because Ferrari just cant get their stuff back together.

This would not have happened under people like Jean Todt and Ross Brawn.

Sad to see Ferrari not winning since 2007.... 2010 and 2012 were the last close calls on the championship for Ferrari.

More like Vettel being unable to race in the rain and spinning in like 3 races. Ferrari doesnt have the best car, but looks like they dont have a top driver either(hopefully leclerc will be that one).

I could not agree more, at the moment Ferrai fucks up in every essential points like:

Vettel just can't handle preassure. When he was at Redbull he had the best car, and I dont think the RedBull drivers are as much under preassure as Ferrari drivers. Other Ferrari drivers like Schumacher or Alonso were completely differnt with that. They could still bring their performance under complete preassure.
The car is allright but Mercedes is still alot better, even if they do not want to admit it.
Yea and I dont think I have to say anything about Ferrari's current strategy department.

Ferrari = Dortmund
Midfield = Midfield
Williams = New clubs from the 2nd league



Vettel has the experience to handle pressure

I think the only pressure for Ferrari Drivers is the pressure from the fans / italian media so he isnt really facing one since normal people know, that Mercedes always has / had the better car, except for 1-2 races last season which Vettel won

Alright Brazil definitely moved up to be my favourite venue, that race was pretty insane..
Feels great to see Gasly on P2 in a Toro Rosso, as well as Sainz on P3 after HAM got the penalty. Then the two Alfas right behind, makes you wish the drivers championship wouldn't be so monotonous. We'll have to see how the new regulations will mix things up, as well as all the contracts ending after the next season.
It's also sad to see Hulkenberg go without ever getting that elusive podium...

But yeah Mercedes has it a bit too easy again this season, which is a shame considering all these interesting new races entering the calendar. Solid performances by McLaren and Racing Point, maybe some more shakeups will happen, but I highly doubt they would make the drivers championship more interesting. Bottas is the most likely challenger, but a good race start seems to be his kryptonite.

So Vettel will drive for Aston Martin next season and it looks like Mick Schumacher will make his debut in F1 with Ferrari. Interesting driver changes in general, just a shame that the new rulesets were posponed till 2022. So we can expect the next season to be very similar.

For this season the championship is already decided, we can just hope for some interesting races especially on old school tracks like Imola and Nürburgring coming back  8)

What a race, I really like Mugello and hope to see it again in F1.

Im pretty sure that Verstappen would have won the race, but oh well DNFs are part of the sport. Its good to see that Honda is closing the performance gap a bit to Mercedes, but now they also should focus on getting their realibility issues resolved.

Especially good performance from Ricciardo and Albon today. Also unbelievable that nowadays the cars are so good when it comes to safety that there was no harm during any of the crashes today.

What a year for Perez, with all the ups and downs, considering how many points he got despite missing 2 races i am looking forward to what he can do in a Red Bull.
I was hoping that somehow a seat will open up for Hulk as well, but i guess you can't have it all.
The Midfield contention proved again to be more exciting to watch than RB & the Mercs, and the new tracks were a breath of fresh air as well. Bahrain was really memorable, so unfortunate for Russell but it made the race all the better :D
Still hoping that Bottas will really show up next season, it seems solid race starts are his Kryptonite though

Yes, Perez did an amazin season! He never gave up. He showed that with a decent cars on the grid, he can do amazin things. I hope that last years Season was not his best one, I think that in Red Bull he can aim to even Win the Championship, he needs to be concistent and always stay focused, something that he does most of the time. The Mercedes or at least Hamilton will, in my opinion, keep dominating. For 2022, this will be a completely different story, hopefully.

Hulk also did a great work for Racing Point. Lately I heard that Aston Martin want him as the second driver. Lets hope that he gets at least that seat for this season, he will be developing the F1 cars for 2022.
