Information about the 79th Regiment of Foot - 'Campbell Highlanders'

The 79th is an EU regiment for the Napoleonic Wars DLC for Mount & Blade Warband. We aim to become a large and active regiment but also a large and active community. The 79th will primarily focus on melee and would like to have 3-4 events per week, consisting of trainings, 1v1s and linebattles. The regiment would like to become a friendly community where anyone is accepted. Being active and as helpful as possable towards both the regiment and community will increase you chance of a promotion within the regiment and showing exceptional skill will result in medals being given to those who deserve it.

Information


The 75th 2vv Is going to be hosted weekly on Sundays and will be hosted on our event server and the event will take place from 7pm GMT till 8pm GMT.We intend to make this event a success and we would also like the regiments that do attend to become regulars at the event as this would make the whole thing just that little bit easier, but it's not required.  This is the 75th's first time hosting events but we hope all goes well. All the event details will be given to the regiment's representative 15 minutes before the event. Regiments should start getting on the server 5 minutes earlier, 6:55pm GMT so we can start the event as soon as possible.

Black Watch at Quatre Bras

With the war with France now apparently over, the 2nd battalion was disbanded in 1814 and some of its number transferred to the permanent 1st battalion. The now single battalion 42nd fought at the chaotic Battle of Quatre Bras on 16 June 1815[34] under Lieutenant-colonel Sir Robert Macara, who was killed by French lancers.[35] The 42nd was one of four battalions mentioned by Wellington in despatches after the battle. Two days later at the Battle of Waterloo,[36] the 42nd and also the 2nd/73rd Highlanders, which was later to become the new 2nd Battalion, Black Watch, were both in some of the most intense fighting in the battle.[8]
