The big beards are broke. You can see them, but when you select them it gives you something else. I thought maybe if I selected another beard it might give me a big one eventually.(Like the face sliders) I went through all of them.. didn't work

Did I ever say that the rifle itself never had sword bayonets? No. I know that the rifle had attachments historicly. I just mean that it has a certain charm without a sword on it gameplay wise. You should have a look at commander battles and see, that this unit, with lot of other units, is already ingame. They are available for the public in CB, but just the 72nd player regiment has access to them in battles and events. :)

Perhaps a graphics reduction, using the default NW graphics. Some people I know have Potato computers and can not run the mod...The default warband player's pc

Remove tking in commander battle. I can see that you guys were attempting to give realism to have tk on, but really it only lead to events that look just plain stupid. Plus it removes the use of using the five square formation, which is very useful against cav.Tking is controlled by the admins. Weather they want it on for realism or turn it off due to some idiot always placing his friendly troops behind his own and leaving them on 'fire at will'. Its preference and is already changeable.

I think that the speed of reloading revolvers should be changed. Because it is very fast reloading for capsule revolvers. Real-time loading of capsule revolver takes up more 50 seconds. And if it will be in the future, I would like it see some changes in animation of loading revolver. ;)I agree, I have no time to charge a pistol spammer after dodging 6 (if any..) shots! Oh, just wondering if you could add an extra animation for the musket with bayonet fixed, seeing as parrot managed to have different animations for the bayonet fixed/unfixed firearms just wondering if you could have the fixed bayonet be held in a right shoulder shift when walking position, and unfixed just be shouldered when walking and have possibly a randomized holding position for when one is running with a firearm though in a similar position to iron europes running with rifle animation.
Oh, and a new flag model would be nice for directx7, the mod still looks very nice in the lower end of warband, but the cardboard flags tend to let it down.

My biggest request is a Texas Unit with a Texas flag. There are multiple Texas regiments in the community but no Texas units or Texas flags available. This is the only thing that is blatantly missing to me. Otherwise its an amazing mod :)

It have been a long time since i made my last post on this board. Anyway, today i tried to play North and South 1.0 but i crashed ( even with very low settings ). I heard that this game runs great on 64 bits, but hell i got a 32 bit computer. Is there a "lighter" version or a fix for this?

Yeah, while for me it looks okay, there is indeed some bloom problem and its lagging a bit, when a desert map starts.

I'd also like to say that Maryland's and North Carolina's II privates seem to have better accuracy, which is ... :o Is this intended?
And I would also have a request about uniforms, could you make them slightly dirtier and less straight? So that they would look more like a used uniform and less like an ironed suit? :D
Private II for most units is the skirmisher/light infantry, which has better accuracy, but less melee stats.Aaah, it makes sense so much now xD I though II private is only supposed to have his rank on shoulder :D
The uniforms are straight, cause Manassas was the first battle of the war.

I wish rifles / muskets were more accurate and took more time to reload. And also it'd be great if springfield was useful. I always wanted to be line infantry but both UA and DA are spammed with sharpshooters and skirmishers, what makes LI gameplay a series of being shot every round, without even getting a chance to use your bayonet.
What sounds as nothing special but could possibly change the mod a lot is making soldiers actually march, not run when moving. It would really add much immersion in my opinion. Also, it'd be great if soldiers were mostly marching, but get the possibility to run when very close to the enemy (charging).
And finally, I've seen your previous mod - Secession. It had something like morale system, which sounds really interesting. Why was it removed? Was it buggy? Or maybe players didn't like it?

1) The mod is made for line battles only. A round needs between 15-20 minutes at the moment. If the reload would be longer, we would have insane round times ;)Thank you very much for your reply. So you're going to keep it like it is... Well, I hope to see features I stated in WoR ;)
2) Running as default is needed. If there would be a stamina system, it would be different. But this is not planned ;)
3) Secession is a different mod. We could add morale, but it would have to much impact on the line battles.
There is a reason, why this mod stays more for arcade and fast gameplay. There are games in development, which are based more on realism like you want ;)
I don't think you've been to a UA lb haha we use nearly enough the same tactics as in NW when it comes down to rules plus we only allow 1 sharpshooter and no skrims. Maybe come along to a event and see for your self we do have big brawl out in melee1stMIVS is so numerous that they're enough to make me ragequit as a Confederate line infantry. I know that, cause I played both in 16thALA and 1stMIVS
Is there any way I could contact the devs? I have this suggestion for the musicians in the mod. I'd be more than happy to help if I could record audio for the musicians so they can play songs together in the game again. I've done it before for NW.
Suggestions:The whole point they didn't add bayonets to them was because they wanted those rifles to be used by skirmishers since they have better accuracy. There would be no need for the Harper's Ferry or the Springfield if the more accurate guns got bayonets as well.
Add bayonet to Lorenz rifle (Russian bayonet from NW)
Add bayonet to Mississippi Rifle (make new model, or just edit british engineer sword from NW)
Springfield 42 and 55 are already very weak compared to all these rifles, no need to make rifles even more OP ???

I'd like to ask for balancing units in CB. Although this game mode was greatly improved since 0.5, it still has some flaws. These are:
- Soldiers are still equiped with knifes, which leads to ridiculous situation where they fight with these knives instead of their bayonetted rifles (i.e. Lousiana Tigers).
- Zouaves appear to have much less soldiers, even though they are only a little bit better than lines.
-Some units appear to be much better at shooting than others (27thVA for example, seems to be the best at shooting of all line regiments).
-Sometimes after melee, bots cannot switch their weapons back to shooting mode (applies to non-bayonet rifles).
-Bots massacre one another on the spawn.
I also think the best solution would be to give line regiments only Springfields 42 or 55 depending on faction; giving lines other weapons in unnecesary and unbalanced in my opinion.

2) The units equipped with knives are probably skirmishers and because of this they probably have a skirmisher's rifle instead of a bayonetted weaponThey probably aren't. I meant such regiments as 1stLA or 3rdAR that are equiped both with bayonetted rifles and knives. These knives should really be removed from them...
3) Zuaves are skirmishers just like the rifles in NW they will have less men due to their improved shooting skill. In NaS the shooting is so much more accurate that if the zuaves had the same number as a line the line would most likely be decimated before they would be able to get into melee.No... Zouaves are infantry equipped with casual, innacurate bayonetted rifles, but they have better shooting skills and worse melee skills than line infantry. So they're pretty much equivalent of light infantry in NW, and note that light inf in NW has as many guys as line inf.
4)27thVA and 3rdCT both have very good shooting at CLOSE range due to their buck & ball rifles which are basically shotguns.I disagree, I tested them a lot and 27thVA are in fact OP. I know that shotguns are really bad at long ranges when actual players use them, but in LBs shotguns are for some reason much better than normal rifles. I'd be happy to see it fixed
5) As for the not being able to switch back to melee mode. The bot commander must hit 0 to regain control of the bots (this is for if he for some reason lost control), then he must hit f4 and then hit f4, if you want to go back to melee hit f4 then f1.You didn't understand me at all. Obviously, I know how to switch bots back to shooting mode... The problem is that sometimes bots equipped with non-bayonet rifles bug and lock on melee mode. It doesn't happen with bayonetted rifles.
6) As for the massacre at spawn just have the server turn off friendly fire for the round starts. If you play on the NaS_Official_CommanderBattle server (my server) you will be able to experience maps with functional AI mesh and no mass TK at spawnServer hosts are often too stupid to switch tk off, so fixing this bug would be really helpful.
7)As for the rifles, the Union uses the Harpers Ferry Rifles and the Confed uses the Springfield. The guns balance each other out as the harpers ferry may be better at shooting however the springfield is faster at melee.And you didn't understand me again.... What I asked for is removing non-bayonet rifles from line infantry regiments, or at least considering it.

This was done to make it balanced in comparison to the other rifles I believe. The Sharps is very accurate and if it had a faster reload speed, then it would be OP.

IF you strive for realism, war of rights to go to. This game as Hinkel stated were made mainly for line battles, more like arcade style.
