The Men Of Valour community has made its first jump into the European event scene! We'll be bringing you a number of events over the coming weeks and hopefully months, the first of which will be our Sunday Linebattle. Now the rules and signup procedure may be slightly different to what you're used to, so please read them carefully before you decide to sign up!

If you would like to sign up for the event, please register your interest here. I will not be doing permanent signups for spots so that we can keep things rotating and not play the same people in the same roles every week. You may post a signup in response to this post initially, and I will hold your spot until 6.45pm on the day of the event. If you have not checked in on our Teamspeak between 6.30 and 6.45, I will give your spot away to someone else. You will not be eligible to do the same role two weeks in a row.

Rules

No killing teammates. If you need a member of your regiment killed, ask for a slay Do not rambo - Don't leave your line and attack individually Firing in a charge is NOT allowed, nor is reloading in a charge Don't flame other players. We're all here to have fun, if you don't like someone, keep it to yourself All chat is to be reserved for officers of regiments only If we play on a map with buildings, you may garrison these buildings. You may also FoL around the buildings to a 3m radius (You don't have to be in a line if you're in or around a building to fire) If you can't follow these simple rules, you will be slain, kicked, and then banned. Of course if an entire regiment appears to be acting against the rules then the regiment will be banned en masse and will not be allowed to return to our events

Class Rules

Line Infantry 3-20 members Spoiler If you are not in a line, you may not fire You are not allowed to aim for officers intentionally If your line has fewer than 3 men, you must either charge or join another line [close]

Cavalry 6-15 members Spoiler Will only be used if there is a sufficient number of infantry attending Stay in formation unless charging Must be in line to shoot if dragoons When below 3 men, you must dismount and join a line [close]

Light Infantry 5-15 members Spoiler May have 3 man spacing in the line May crouch while shooting If your unit falls below 3 men, you must charge or join a line Must move as a line (with or without spacing) [close]

Rifles 5-15 members Spoiler May crouch while engaging You must stay within a reasonable distance of other members in your unit while moving and shooting May intentionally target officers [close]

Artillery 4-10 members Spoiler Two cannons per team One cannon to be assigned to each artillery regiment, unless there is only one artillery regiment on the team May have up to 5 artillery guards Artillery guards may be treated as skirmishers, but must play as light or line infantry Each regiment may bring one sapper [close]
