Its a partially new 85e gf team which faced the 15thYR during a training organized to prepare the next 10v10 which will happen next sunday, 7th of May. With many key players missing from both sides, we ended-up the match on a
15-8 scoreline in favor of the 85e, a result which remains satisfying in our eyes. We're yet to developp a real synergy within the team, especially with a format rather different than the one we were used to play in RGL and the fact some players were not used to play together (or having really bad individual performances like I did). Hopefully Dren and Freddie especially were in good form on our flank. Next training is tonight versus the 57e (Former 3rd), then monday evening against the K-KA. The video of last night training should be up soon.
The 10v10 tournament is going to happen very soon aswell (only one week left, almost) and as the RGL winner, we're aware that we're kinda the regiment 'to beat'; especially since we ain't as strong as we used to due to the recent departures. As I said earlier on this thread, we obviously don't consider ourselves as favorites, we prefer leaving such titles to the 66th or 17e, but we'll try our very best to show we're not done yet and still got something to prove and achieve.
Besides the groupfighting aspect, the 85e is officially going to start regular LBs again on this Sunday 30th of April, as we've been invited by the Nr5 to their 2v2 Event. A big thanks to Alax and his guys for their offer, we hope it will be a good and serious event. Really looking forward, and see what we can do after all this time. Speaking about LBs, we'll also have our first 1v1 in a while, versus the 7pp, on Tuesday of next week. I hope to be able recording as many of those events as possible so you guys can judge from your own eyes how well (or not) we're performing.
Also welcome to our new recruits :
Cadet Redbatt
Cadet Saphir
Cadet BeNapoleon
Cadet Stmo
Cadet Breizh
Cadet Sinjide
Thanks again for all the positive vibes we've been getting from many members of the community those last few days. If anything, it only strenghen us to prove we can still make a decent showing as a regiment.
