Ok most regiments got contacted. Still need confirmation from the 27th

We placed everyone just in a Battalion for now, with a role as Infantry reg. Some shifting might happen during the week.

General and  Commanders have not been assigned yet. We will have cavalry this event! So if someone wants to play as Cav or as a general or battalion commander let us know!

The PSG and the 54th are joining this event a big welcome to them!

The scenario we are doing this Month is Austerlitz. Hall is focusing on some parts of the battlefield again as usually. There will be 3 maps and we gonna have France face Austria on map 1, and Russia on map 2. map 3 will probably be small break up from the regular rules in place. Instead of everyone being in "battalion style" formation, regiments will be allowed to move out as they please.

Since Austerlitz was a huge battle we might do a "Part 2" next month with some other interesting engagements that happened during this battle.

We gonna provide a map to the general in charge with positions he must take/engage. this is for the "scenario rounds"
We gonna have a slight change in the rules regarding battalions deploying in the field. (We will make it clear with some screenshots)

Preferably we will have a quick meeting somewhere during the week to finalize everyone's role. i will get a update on that tomorrow!

Alright new update in run up to this Saturday

Hall finished the maps. Now people are expecting the obvious and expect a Pratzen heights map. Well you are wrong. We gonna focus on some other interesting engagements that happened during those 4 hours.

I will start of with the small change in rules regarding battalions deploying on the field.
- It is stated that: No fewer than 3 NW Regiments will be paired up to make a Line Regiment/battalion
 We gonna keep to that format, but we gonna step away from the idea of keeping each regiment and thus each section (grenadiers, color comp, and light company) stand close together and form on the flag. (they are still allowed to do so though)

When a regiment/battalion deploys on the field they will be allowed to deploy in the "Zone of influence" of the commander
The zone of deployment will be monitored by the admins.

Commanders can move up and thus regiments along with him to stay in his zone of influence.
If the Commander goes down then the zone of influence shall fall upon the center company of the battalion

What will stay is: Once the commander decides to deploy back into a column all regiments will fall back to the flag and form up properly.
We think it gives a bit more maneuverability to regiments and battalions. The thing that you have to keep in mind the commander is calling the shots he tells you where to deploy!

Next We want to have a small quick meeting this Wednesday to finalize everyone's role. What battalion you are gonna be in etc etc....
We were thinking of THIS WEDNESDAY 02-25-15 @ 8 EST We will spam the steam group also with announcements for said meeting.

We also gonna provide the commanding generals with a map with objectives they must take/engage.
This to make it a bit more interesting and to avoid a camping match

I thought it was a pretty good event. Seemed like most of the Nr.18 guys had fun. I once again managed to record it but it might be a while for the upload (internet will kill itself if I try it while playing games). Should be up by tomorrow around noon though.
