Regiments / 47y Litovski Pehotniy Polk [NA] {Recruiting}
« on: August 14, 2015, 06:06:21 pm »

Regimental Information

It was the senior grenadier regiment. In 1805 it had 3 grenadier battalions instead of the usual 1 grenadier and 2 fusilier battalions. In 1809, although the regiment was a line unit it was part of 1st Guard Division. In terms of height and physical strength of the troopers this regiment was probably the best right after the Guard. In 1813 the giants were admitted into the Imperial Guard.
Chef: 1801-1825 Tzar Alexander
Commander: 1809-1817 GM Graf Pavel A. Stroganov (in 1812 GL)

Regiment History

The grenadiers wore old-fashioned mitre-caps until the end of Napoleonic Wars. In 1807 for their gallant fight at Friedland Tzar Alexander ordered that, alone of the infantry, this regiment should henceforth retain its mitres "in the state in which they left the battlefield as visible mark of its bravery and Our grace." (The mitre caps however were not worn by their officers.) In 1812 at Polotzk one battalion and detachment of Grodno Hussars, was cut off by French cuirassiers and four infantry battalions. The Pavlovsk grenadiers however fought so valiantly that they even captured and brought in 100 prisoners !

In 1812 at Loshmiana they met French infantry. Soon there were only scattered debris of the enemy. At Kliastitzi, the depot battalion of this regiment, while under hail of fire, passed through a flaming bridge at full speed and took by storm all the building defended by the Swiss and French infantry. At Krasne the pavlovsk grenadiers were under heavy artillery fire when they received order to attack a column of French sappers, pioneers and miners. The fight was short, the enemy perished. When another column of infantry appeared, the grenadiers charged with bayonets and put the enemy into flight. The French commander tried to stop the flight and was taken prisoner. In 1813 for their valor in combat the Pavkovsk grenadiers were admitted to the Guard. In 1814-1815 in France due to their mitre caps they were the third most often depicted troops, after the wild Cossacks and the Scottish Highlanders in their kilts. The mitre caps were retained to the beginning of the XXth Century (600 caps were still in 1917). Some caps still bearing the scars and bullet holes of Friedland! J. S. Stanhope wrote: "and the marks made by the musket balls in these caps are considered as so many decorations, and , therefore are never repaired."

I am NA in the EST (Eastern) Timezone, So i will need someone from that part. Things wont go fast like light. I will need time to plan everything and sort the stuff out. Money won't be an issue here. We will most likely be doing more 1v1 Line battles and less events. But still we will be doing both.

Add me on steam if you are interrested in helping me, Thanks :)

The main leader of 5th, Dan, Is mad at me for the following reason. I helped Dan build 5th, i was the Leader of NA Detachment and since i left still looking for a NA Leader he is. Calling his fellow old friend (me) a "F*cking Bulgarian" Since i come from Bulgaria But Live in Canada, When he is a... Better not say what he is cuz hell come cry at me some more.

He wanted a copy of Viking Conquest that way he can send it to Immoraluz so Immortaluz can crack it and give it out to public. I said No i dont wanna be a part of this. Since then he got mad and started acting bossy and stuff. So i said whoa alright calm down here im not in prison, im leaving your regiment as i dont like your behavior with me. Now he stole one member, and he tried to steal some more. He said i stole a member from 5th, but i stole nobody from them.

The First Prussian Foot Guards.
[/size]

History Of the 1st Prussian Foot Guards
Spoiler
The 1st Foot Guard Regiment (1. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß/ 1. Garde Ze Fuss) was an infantry regiment of the Royal Prussian Army formed in 1806. The regiment considered itself the most noble regiment of Christendom (vornehmstes Regiment der Christenheit). The regiment was disbanded in 1919, with the Infantry Regiment 9 Potsdam of the new Reichsheer bearing its tradition. The Wachbataillon continues the tradition of this regiment in today's Bundeswehr.[1]

The 1st Foot Guards 1806 reorganized after the defeat of Prussia by Napoleon in the twin battles of Jena and Auerstedt from the remnants of the former Garden on foot. It was from the beginning the Leibregiment of the kings of Prussia. With the exception of William II., Who also wore the uniforms of other regiments, since 1806 all wore Prussian kings and most of the Prince of Prussia the uniform of the 1st Guards Regiment of Foot. The King of Prussia was at the same time each regimental commander, chief of the First Battalion and Chief of the 1st company of this regiment. Therefore, this regiment also had the highest rank in the army, which was reflected, inter alia, that the officers of the 1st Guards Regiment of Foot at the traditional New Year's reception before the princes and the Diplomatic Corps was allowed to file past the throne. Unofficially, was also discussed by the First Regiment of Christendom.

The regiment was with the mass of his soldiers in the barracks in the priest Street in Potsdam compared with the Potsdam garrison church and diagonally across from the City Palace. The close association of the regiment with its royal chef was based in addition to the personal guidance of the king and the fact that all the princes were set in each of Prussia at its tenth anniversary as a lieutenant in the regiment in the army, in order to receive their military training, to the fact that most of the practical service in the Lustgarten held immediately before the castle.

Spoiler
Like all the regiments of the old army (1871 Prussian Army, after the German Army) and the 1st Guards Regiment was disbanded on foot after the First World War and went on in the Reichswehr. There, the tradition was continued by the Infantry Regiment 9 until the end of World War II. Since 1961 the Guard Battalion leads (at first only with the 2nd Company, since 1991 as battalion) continued the tradition. In 1921, however, was an association for the maintenance of tradition and fellowship founded by former soldiers of the 1st Guards Regiment of Foot, which was joined by the troops following parts. Following the motto of the regiment and its tradition follower "semper talis", which was also the battle cry of these troops at the same time and is called the still existing club "Semper Talis covenant."
