HISTORY
The Citadel traces its origins to a series of arsenals constructed by the state of South Carolina in the 1820s; founded by an act of the state legislature in 1842 as the South Carolina Military Academy it originally consisted of the Citadel Academy in Charleston and the Arsenal Academy in Columbia. The Arsenal was burned by General Sherman's forces during the American Civil War and never reopened.

The Citadel Academy was occupied by Union troops in 1865 and reopened as an educational institution in 1882. During the Civil War, the SCMA Corps of Cadets was organized into a military unit known as the Battalion of State Cadets which took part in nine engagements. In January 1861, Citadel Academy cadets manning a battery on Morris Island fired the first shots of the conflict when they shelled the Union steamship Star of the West which was attempting to resupply Fort Sumter. In December 1864, the cadet battalion made up more than a third of a Confederate force that defended a strategic rail line during the Battle of Tulifinny.

Firstly you will need to download the Warband/NW dedicated server files and set up them where you want to host your server.

Secondly you will need to download the new North and South dedicated server files, unpack it in the Warband server folder, and replace all when asked.

Somebody knows how to fix this?

History

The Dutch States Army — (Dutch: Staatse leger) was the army of the Dutch Republic. It was usually called this, because it was formally the army of the States-General of the Netherlands, the sovereign power of that federal republic. This mercenary army was brought to such a size and state of readiness that it was able to hold its own against the armies of the major European powers of the extended 17th century, Habsburg Spain and the France of Louis XIV, despite the fact that these powers possessed far larger military resources than the Republic. It played a major role in the Eighty Years' War (opposite the Spanish Army of Flanders) and in the wars of the Grand Alliance with France after 1672.
The States Army was instrumental in keeping the armed forces of far larger European powers, like Spain and France, at bay in a series of armed conflicts during the extended 17th century (1590–1715). Despite the attention that the Nassauvian tactical reforms attracted, both in their own time, and in the recent debates by historians of the Military Revolution, these were in practice less important than the less spectacular, but equally effective, siege-warfare methods that Maurice, William Louis, and their successor Frederick Henry employed to such devastating effect. Of course, their methods in this respect were not as revolutionary as the organisational and tactical reforms, but they made the States Army a formidable offensive force nevertheless in the Eighty Years' War. They same applies in a defensive sense for the engineers who built the new trace italienne-type fortresses in strategic belts that frustrated would-be invaders for centuries to come.

Nevertheless, military-technical constraints of the day prevented the States Army to achieve a strategic breakthrough in the war in the Spanish Netherlands, even when the Dutch Republic entered into an offensive alliance with France in 1635. the logistical limitations to the size of field armies that kept the optimum size around 30,000 men till Louvois invented his system of forward bases around 1665, prevented the Dutch, even in combination with the French (as they tried in the ill-fated invasion of 1635), to gain a sufficient numerical superiority over the Army of Flanders to defeat that army in the field if an invasion from the east was attempted. An invasion from the north would require the patience destruction of the line of fortifications and water obstacles that the Spaniards had constructed opposite the equivalent Dutch defensive belt. And this proved again too much for the offensive capabilities of the States Army that never was able to overcome the defenses of Antwerp, the main strategic obstacle to an invasion of the Southern Netherlands from the north. the war therefore ended in a strategic stalemate between the Dutch and the Spaniards in the 1640s, though for their part the French (faced with easier terrain) made large conquests in that period.

Death Korps of Krieg
The Death Korps of Krieg are Imperial Guard Regiments raised from the world of Krieg. Notoriously grim and fatalistic warriors, they seek to atone for their planet's past rebellion by dying glorious deaths in service to the Imperium. For this purpose, Death Korps regiments routinely request to fight in the galaxy's deadliest warzones, grinding their enemy down through long battles of attrition and siege warfare.

HISTORY

The French Foreign Legion — (French: Légion étrangère, L.E.) is a military service wing of the French Army established in 1831, unique because it was exclusively created for foreign nationals willing to serve in the French Armed Forces. Commanded by French officers, it is also open to French citizens, who amounted to 24% of the recruits as of 2007. The Foreign Legion is today known as an elite unit whose training focuses not only on traditional military skills but also on its strong esprit de corps. As its men come from different countries with different cultures, this is a way to strengthen them enough to work as a team. Consequently, training is often described as not only physically challenging, but also very stressful psychologically.

The French Foreign Legion was created by Louis Philippe, the King of the French, on 10 March 1831. The purpose of the Foreign Legion was to remove disruptive elements from society and put them to use fighting the enemies of France. Recruits included failed revolutionaries from the rest of Europe, soldiers from the disbanded Swiss and German mercenary regiments of the Bourbon monarchy, and troublemakers in general, both foreign and French. The Royal Ordinance for the establishment of the new regiment specified that the foreigners recruited could only serve outside France. The French expeditionary force which had occupied Algiers in 1830 was in need of reinforcements and the Legion was accordingly transferred in detachments from Toulon to Algeria.

The Foreign Legion was primarily used, as part of the Armée d'Afrique, to protect and expand the French colonial empire during the 19th century, but it also fought in almost all French wars including the Franco-Prussian War and both World Wars. The Foreign Legion has remained an important part of the French Army, surviving three Republics, the Second French Empire, two World Wars, the rise and fall of mass conscript armies, the dismantling of the French colonial empire, and the loss of the Foreign Legion's base, Algeria.

World War 1

In World War I, the Foreign Legion fought in many critical battles on the Western Front, including Artois, Champagne, Somme, Aisne, and Verdun (in 1917), and also suffered heavy casualties during 1918. The Foreign Legion was also in the Dardanelles and Macedonian front, and was highly decorated for its efforts. Many young foreigners, including Americans like Fred Zinn, volunteered for the Foreign Legion when the war broke out in 1914. There were marked differences between such idealistic volunteers and the hardened mercenaries of the old Legion, as the poet Alan Seeger pointed out, making assimilation difficult. Nevertheless, the old and the new men of the Foreign Legion fought and died in vicious battles on the Western front, including Belloy-en-Santerre during the Battle of the Somme, where Seeger, after being mortally wounded by machine-gun fire, cheered on the rest of his advancing battalion.

Warning lot of big pictures (but cool)

As most European countries and the US were drawn into the war, many of the newer "duration only" volunteers who managed to survive the first years of the war were generally released from the Foreign Legion to join their respective national armies. Citizens of the Central Powers serving with the Foreign Legion on the outbreak of war were normally posted to garrisons in North Africa to avoid problems of divided loyalties.

HISTORY

Numidia lay in northern Africa, in what is now Algeria. The latin name, “Numidia,” means land of the nomads. As nomads, these people depended upon the horse for transportation. They were expert horsemen. The Numidian horsemen rode bareback, without a bridle. using their voice and a stick to guide ther mounts. A round shield, their stealth and agility were their only protection in battle. According to the representation in sculpture, Numidian warriors wore only a sleeveless tunic with a simple belt. Highly effective as light cavalry, the Numidian horsemen would dash up to an enemy, let lose light javelins, and then gallop away before they could be met with a counter attack. When on foot, the Numidians attacked with bows, slings or javelins. Impressed by their talent, the Carthaginians and later the Romans incorporated Numidians into their own armies.

NOTABLE ACTIONS:

First Punic War

Numidians fight alongside Carthage. 216 BC Present at battle of Cannae
Second Punic War
214BC The great Roman general, Scipio Africanus, convinces King Syphax king of the Masaesyles tribe to withdraws support from Carthage. Syphax recalls the Numidians, leaving the Carthaginians in Spain. The concerned Carthaginians encourage a rival Numidain, King Gaia of the Massyles tribe, to attack Syphax. 212BC Syphax rejoins Carthage. King Gaia’s son, Masinissa, arrives in Spain with a contingent of Numidian horsemen. 206 BC The Romans form allegiance with Masinissa (then king). 202BC Masinissa provides Romans with Numidian 4,000 cavalry and 6,000 light infantry at decisive battle of Zama. Scipio’s Carthaginian rival, Hannibal has 4,000 provided by Syphax.

Third Punic War

6,000 Numidians side with Carthage. Masinissa joins with Rome again.

BC 110-105 Jugurthine War
In contending for the Numidian throne, Jugurtha, allowed some Roman citizens to be killed (112BC). After much Roman inaction, the incident escalated to the point where the Senate was compelled to sent troops to confront Jugurtha. A line Roman commanders failed in subduing the Numidians. Some were bribed into inaction, others suffered mighty military defeat. In 109 one of the consuls, Q. Caecilus Metellus, was sent to deal with the situation. Gradual progress was made against the Numidians. In the hopes of a quicker resolution to the warone of Metellus’ officers, Gaius Marius, was made consul and took command of the army (107BC). Progress against Jugurtha was again gradual. After constructing numerous forts and bringing in light cavalry to counter the Numidian horsemen the war was winding to a close. The conflict came to a quick end in 105 BC when Jugurtha was bertayed by his ally, King Bocchus of Mauretania. Bocchus handed Jugurtha to a general of Marius, Lucius Cornelius Sulla. Sulla then delivered the captive to Marius. The Numidian king was executed in Rome as part of Marius’ triumph.

58 BC Caesar’s invasion of Gaul
Caesar commanded Numidian archers, often fighting alongside men from Crete who were reputed to be the best archers in the world.

AD 17-24 Tacfarinas Revolt

Tacfarinas was a leader of a Berber tribe of the Musulamii nomads. They lived south of the then Roman Provinces of Numidia and Mauretania Caesariensis. Numidians joined in his revolt against Rome. As a former auxiliary in the Roman army, Tacfarinas was able to apply the Roman style of organized warfare to his people. This was useful in pitched battles with the Romans, but the rebels had more success with guerilla warfare. The Roman reaction was a build up fortresses, spreading forces across the province to better counter the rebels hit and run tactics. AD 24 Tacfarinas found his rebel fortress surrounded by Romans and their allied Mauretanians. He committed suicide, ending hostilities. (see Tacitus, Annals 2.52.1 – 3.74.1-4)

AD 101-105 Trajan’s Dacian Wars

Numidian cavalry serve in the fight against the Dacians as depicted in Trajan’s Column.

Vault-Tec Multiplayer Mod
("VaultMP") is a multiplayer mod for the PC versions of Bethesda's award-winning role-playing games Fallout 3 andFallout: New Vegas. It's currently in development, but is going to support the following:

 • Dedicated server, MasterServer and client including a server browser
 • Syncing of movement, actions / animations and AI
 • In-game GUI overlay for chatting
 • Supporting DLCs as well as Fallout user mods
 • Server-side scripting to define gameplay rules

The main goal is to enable players to roam the open worlds of the wastelands and experience all the exciting features of the games online.

What vaultmp is - and what it isn't

Mod is actually not the best fitting keyword in my opinion. VaultMP is supposed to be much more like a framework. It aims for extensibility and scalability. The goal is to provide the tools necessary to create engaging online environments in the Fallout games. It does not impose any limits on what you can do with it (i.e. maximum player count), neither does it has any bias towards any kind of multiplayer game.VaultMP is not a co-op mod, a MMO, or anything else of the like. The community is free (and encouraged) to take VaultMP and develop server-side game modes, composing the actual rules of gameplay. Therefore VaultMP exposes a rich scripting interface, with a C API at its core, as well as native support for C++11 and PAWN scripts.

VaultMP is not:

 • Co-op, MMO, deathmatch, etc.

VaultMP is:

 • A framework to create any kind of multiplayer game

Scripting

Scripting is one of the most important features of Vault-Tec Multiplayer Mod. It grants access to in-game Objects and allows to manipulate them. With the help of scripts, it is possible to customize the game experience and even create whole new gamemodes. Scripts are executed server-side by the dedicated server of vaultmp. Users who code scripts are known as scripters. They mainly use the scripting functions and scripting callbacks (see VaultMP interface) provided by the mod to write a script. A script can be written inC++ or in the PAWN language. See the section Installing a script in the dedicated server setup guide on how to load such a script.

C++ scripting

Scripts can be written in C++. It allows for maximum flexibility and an extremely large set of possibilities. An example script comes with the vaultmp package including project files for Code::Blocks IDE. C++ scripts need to be compiled as dynamic-link library (shared object for Unix) files. The entry point of a C++ script is exec.

Pawn scripting

Scripts can be written in PAWN. With regard to the VaultMP interface, PAWN scripts can be as powerful as C++ ones. An example script comes with the vaultmp package. PAWN scripts need to be compiled with pawncc.exe (comes with vaultmp) and the -C64 command line option appended. The entry point of a PAWN script is main.

Help

Vault-Tec Multiplayer Mod is a rather huge project and I would be grateful if it had some more developers. Work on vaultmp can be exciting and very diverse. It deals with the game engine (low-level), networking code, scripting and various design patterns. Most parts aren't easy to understand so you are required to have some well established C++ knowledge. However, I'm happy to answer any question regarding the source code!
If you are interested, write me a mail (recycler@vaultmp.com). The source code is available here:Github.com

FAQ

Q: Can we play lan?
A: Yes you can.

Q: Theres no servers, whats going on?
A: VaultMP is intended as a frame work for scripters to host custom servers. Our goal isnt to host servers, but to give you the tools to host your own.

Q: It keeps crashing, what should I do?
A: Gary 2 is a very early alpha release being developed almost single handedly by Recycler. This level of instability is to be expected. Report all bugs on the official forums.

Q: Will you support mods?
A: Yes down the road mods will be fully supported. You should be aware that any mods that contain custom geck scripts will need those scripts converted to C\C++ or PAWN to work with VaultMP. Currently, any mods activated in your load order, will be deactivated when you launch VaultMP.

Q: I dont see any Npcs, where is everyone? What about Quests?
A: Npc's and quests are not currently synced, so they have been removed as to not give the impression that they are synced. Both Npc's and quests will eventually be added once there synced.

Q: What about items?
A: All items within containers have been removed from said containers. Any item that was originally placed in the gameworld outside a container will still be there. Lastly, the console is available to use once ingame, allowing you use item codes to give yourself armor/weapons/ammo/stimpacks if you wish. The console will eventually be removed as we move from alpha to beta.
