1914 The Great War

When most people think of WWI, they think of a trench locked war that cost millions of lives. The latter is true, but the former, not so much. In the years 1914 and some of 1918, trenches were not used. This mod will be focusing on the short lived mobile war of 1914.

Features

-Historically accurate uniforms.

-New weaponry such as revolving pistols, bolt-action rifles and more.

-2 factions for the 1st release: Troisième République Française and Deutsches Kaiserreich.

-New animations for reloading and firing.

-Deadlier melee. (I.E. More damage from bayonets and swords)

-Fixable bayonets.

-New sounds.

-Guns for all cavalry units.

-New instruments for the musicians.

I see a "Deadlier melee" on your list, tbh, melee is already too deadly that the sword needs a buffing.

Swords will get a massive buff, they are far too weak.

Even though Iron Europe is based during the last couple years of WWI, they will be the largest problem to you. They are very far along their production, and I'm sure a beta or primary release is around the corner. They have so much done already, and you don't even have a coder, texturer, or modeler. I suggest you either stop this, and join another mod team that needs help, and has the the team members you need, or at least ask the Iron Europe team if you can help them out. I'm sure they'll appreciate the help.

I do apologize for my condescending post, but you need to understand the situation you're in. What makes it worse is that you are doing a very hard time period to emulate. Iron Europe team is doing well, as far as updates on the progress go.

In theory we could do huge player numbers far over 500 players per server...  As such we will surely keep our promise to deliver you the 500 players per server.

We will probably go (far) over it, but that's for later.

Well, I fully support Reverse. I think a different take on the subject, doesn't rival Iron Europe, but simply contrasts these two mods. It only makes it more interesting to compare the two, because they are about the same war.

We have a modeler, and i'm learning some basic Python code.
And I don't see how Iron Europe can be a problem when we are emulating entirely different styles of warfare. Loose line warfare was common in 1914.
I can almost guarantee that Iron Europe will have at least a year before a beta release. (Feel free to correct me Rigadoon, thats just my guess)
I can also do some texturing, but its not the best. UV mapping is where I have trouble.
