   NW Community Waterloo Reenactment

Server: Bush_Wookie_Movie
Teamspeak IP: bwg.ts.nfoservers.com
Steam Group: BWG
Time: Thursdays @ 8pm EST
Director: LES IS MOREx

About the Project

Bush Wookie Gaming is proud to produce the NW Community Waterloo Reenactment Movie! We look to create a cinematic representation of the battle of Waterloo. We will be filming most scenes with a minimum of 50 players, and for the bigger scenes like the charge of the Scots Greys we intend to have 200 players. We noticed that no such reenactment has been created using the Mount and Blade NW platform. We wish to bring together the NA community with this movie. Every prominent community member weather your a regiment leader or professional meleer is invited to voice over a character, whether it be a minor or major character, you may apply for whichever one you want.   We reserve the right to deny any application for rolls, but we will do our best to find you a roll as there are many to fill. We will be recording in server Sundays at 8pm EST, 7pm Central, and 5pm PST but voice overs can be done at the actor’s convenience.

Pre-production

In order to create a proper movie we have gone through the process of making a script detailing scenes and making a custom map..

The Bush Wookie Gaming Napoleonic Wars Campaign Event

Current Campaign:

               VS.

Introduction and Applications

The Bush Wookie Gaming Campaign Event is different and more innovative than past campaign events. A manpower component has been created to make more use of strategy. Special random events will add a uniqueness that makes each event fresh and interesting. TOTAL REBALANCE AND NEW SPECIALTY CLASSES with the introduction to Grenadiers that have grenades and Foot Guard who are tanks.  A general and his staff will decide and determine what to do with their limited men and how they will proceed to fight their battles. The campaign is easy to understand and persistent making it a fun, competitive, and friendly North American event.

In Game: In-game battles will be between the two nations at war in the campaign and each team will have their general leading them. Random events will be announced in the game server before the battle begins. Teams may not be even depending on each teams individual attendance. WE WILL NOT BALANCE TEAMS IN-GAME

Teamspeak Meetings: Meetings for general’s staff will be held in the Bush Wookie Gaming Teamspeak at 7:00 EST. Each team’s general staff will be in a channel together and be able to discuss strategy. Where to move, how much MP to use, role assignment, and general information will be voted on and decided in these meetings.

Roles and Units

In the campaign event, each regiment will have a role that it chooses or gets assigned to. Each team will have a general who commands the team and strategizes where troops are positioned. Other roles will also be assigned to regiment leaders.

General: The General will be in charge of his team and the individual commanders under him. He will decide how many men will be input to the battle and  whether to attack or defend certain provinces. He will determine this by consulting with his general’s staff. He will strategize and command each of the regimental leaders on his team where to position their men in order to achieve the best results. He is allowed to play as the general unit for his team (Napoleon, Wellington, Blucher) and he will have a general’s bodyguard to defend him. One general will be selected for each campaign either through an application or a majority vote by the other regimental leaders before the campaign takes place. The general needs to be able to communicate with other regiments in order to maneuver them to strategic positions.

General’s Staff: The general’s staff is made up of the other regmental leaders that attend the event. They are going to be the general’s “consultants” and will help make the decision on what to do that night (attack/defend, how much manpower to use, where to move, etc.) They need to be able to communicate with each other and the general of the army for exchanging of important information during the battle.

Cavalry: Minimum of 8 Maximum of 15 rankers rankers with one officer unit. Dragoons MAY shoot while moving or at a stop. If they FOC they must carry the charge and can't pull of to reload. If they choose to dismount they are classed as light inf and can have 3 man spacing. If you fall below 3 members you must dismount and join a line. Must move as a formation (tight blob/wedge/Line etc).

Artillery: There is only one artillery battery for each team per event. The artillery set-up will be decided by the artillery regiment leader (appointed by the general). Three artillery pieces are allowed per-team and can consist of any arrangement (maximum of 3 cannons allowed). THEY MUST bring 9 men  to make 3 trains 3 loaders and 2 sapers and one officer.  they may 3 officers and a maximum of 5 line infantry guard.

Infantry: The infantry are the heart of the army and the default class. They are going to be the core units and what makes up most of an army in the event. The general and his staff will decide which sub-class each individual regiment will be for that night’s event. Staff members (regimental leaders) will vote for which sub-class their regiment will go that night.

Line Infantry: The most basic and essential part of an army.Standard unit for all regiments not assigned to a specified certain class. Line infantry have 135 polearm and 150 crossbow states. They out shoot any other non line infantry class. Minimum of 5 no maximum. (Good at holding and attacking positions.)

Grenadier Infantry: Grenadier infantry will be armed with one grenade each that throw like glass bottles and on impact explode. If a direct hit his scored they will take away at max ⅔ health from the victim, but they may only throw their bombs if they are all in a line no TOL (Throwing Out of Line). They may however FOC with their muskets they have poor accuracy compared to line infantry (100 instead of 150) but they have the same melee stats. Minimum of 8 max of 14 and one officer (Good counter to Guard Infantry and standard infantry).

Guard Infantry: The Guard Infantry (Foot Guard for both nations) regiment for each team should be composed of the best melee regiment on that team. This unit has 4 IRON FLESH compared to the standard of 3 iron flesh that line infantry have. They also have 160 polearm skill compared to the standard of 130 that line infantry have and they have 125 crossbow. They also get 15 strength compared to 14 that normal infantry have. They must stay with arty until 15:00 ONLY WHEN their nation is defending AND CAN crouch behind barricades made by sapures at anytime. Minimum of 8 max of 14 and one officer. (Good counter to line infantry and cavalry).

Skirmishers: Skirmishers are also selected by the general & staff. Skirmishers can be riflemen or light infantry. Riflemen will receive a rifle and short side sword. Light infantry can use a bayoneted musket or a cavalry musket. Skirmishers are allowed to use loose spacing (up to 2 yards), crouch, and shoot out of line. Maximum 15 skirms plus one officer. They may FOC.

**ATTENTION** The general and his staff are allowed to decide to not use a certain specialist type for the battle. This means that skirmishers, artillery, and cavalry are not guaranteed for each battle.

Manpower

The manpower element in the campaign event adds more strategy and decisions for the leaders. Each team will get a set amount of manpower which decides how many men they are allowed to field in a battle. This will make who wins and loses more clear, as well as set parameters for battles. The team’s regimental leaders will decide on how many men to commit to a single battle.  [/b]

Manpower for the Campaign:For the overall campaign, each team has 5,000 manpower. This is the number they will subtract from when taking casualties in the campaign. Reserves will also be subtracted from the team’s total manpower manpower. Manpower can be re-obtained or added by choosing to defend for a turn. The defending team will be awarded with 50 manpower after the battle, whether they win or not. Troops lost in the battle will still be subtracted from the defender’s overall manpower.

Manpower in Battles:The general and staff will choose how many men (MP) to commit into a battle. Once one of the teams loses all of its manpower for the battle, that team loses. The manpower for each battle counts for the entire event not just individual rounds. The amount of casualties that are sustained in a battle is the number that will be subtracted from the remaining overall manpower.

Reserves: If a team does not have enough remaining manpower for the battle in order to field the number of players they have logged in, then they will need to call in reserves which will deduct from overall campaign manpower. This is so players do not have to sit in spectator during an event and they are still allowed to play. For example, if the French team dedicates 150 manpower to a battle and has 100 players in the server. Then they lose the first round (-100 MP), rather than have 50 players sit in spectator for that battle because of the lack of MP, then the French team will need to call their reserves (-100 MP and -50 more for reserves).

EXAMPLE SCENARIO: Each team has 5,000 MP remaining. The Prussian Team leaders choose to attack a Russian army. The Russian leaders decide to commit 250 MP to the battle and the Prussians commit 300 MP. Both the Prussian Team and the Russian Team have 100 players online. The Prussians win the first two rounds by killing all the Russian troops so the Russians lose 200 MP which leaves them with 50 MP for the last round. In order to accommodate for the other 50 players on the Russian team, the Russians must call in 50 MP for reserves (-50 MP). The Russians lose the last round as well (-100 MP) so IN TOTAL the Russian team loses 350 MP (-100 MP First Round; -100 MP Second Round ; -100 MP + -50 MP [reserves]  Third Round)

Random Events

Random events will be chosen for each team at the beginning of each battle to add flare and uniqueness to each battle scenario. The general and staff will choose three events that could possibly happen. Then those three choices will be put into a random selection program and the selected event will be the one that the army has to operate with.

Event List: (Work in Progress)

Russian Events
1) Iron Shortage: There aren’t enough bayonets! Not enough iron for bayonet production. 50% of all Russian line infantry must go militia and equip cavalry muskets, not pikes.
2) Cossacks Desert: Not enough pickled herring! Cavalry regiment can only have 50% strength. Half must be line infantry.
3)Supplies Raided: Ivan fell asleep while on watch! Infantrymen only have 5 cartridges.
4) Arty Guard Desert: Touch holes nailed! Lose two guns. Only allowed one artillery piece
5) Drunk Riflemen: They broke into the Vodka storage! Half of the skirms have to go line infantry because they are too drunk to shoot straight

Prussian Events
1) Famine: I had to eat Seabiscuit! The calvary loses half strength. 50% go line infantry.
2) Supply Train Raided: They took the sausage! Infantrymen only have 5 cartridges
3)Hiking: Those Yodeling Basterds! Half of the skirmishers desert. 50% of skirms must go line infantry.
4)Faulty Powder: Sabotage! 2 out of 3 artillery pieces are disabled.
5)Winter Attrition: I can't feel my toes! The Guard have frostbite. No Guard Infantry for the battle.

Campaign Movement

Each nation starts with five armies (1,000 men each) and is allowed to move one army per turn. Army movement is determined by the general of the army. Armies are allowed to move continuously through neutral territory until they meet an enemy army or enter an enemy province. It takes two turns to cross the neutral zone (Prussia/Austria/Confederation of the Rhine). The French armies are already on the Russian borders because France is the aggressive invader in this campaign. The campaign map will be updated after every week’s event.

Garrisons: Each occupied province without an army in it has a garrison. A garrison has 300 manpower and once the defenders are all killed or the fort is captured, the province switches occupation to the opposing team. The defenders are only allowed artillery and infantry while attackers are allowed all four roles (cavalry, infantry, skirmishers, and artillery). The number of lives for defenders depends on the amount of players on that team (if there are 100 players on the defending team, the defenders will get 3 lives) and the number of attackers depends on how many men the general decides to commit to the battle. Garrison armies are allowed to sally forth and try to defeat the enemy army in open field battle with the support of cavalry and skirmishers.

Victory Conditions

1) Surrender: Enemy team loses the will to continue on, no clear victory
2) Run out of manpower (everyone dies)
3) Capture and hold enemy capital Grace period: if enemy captures a capital, the team that no longer has a capital has a 3 turn grace period to try and retake their capital

Sieges:
  • Fortresses always have 300 men garrisons.
  • If an army is in the province with a fort, a field battle will take place and then the siege will happen.
  • Sieges will have a time limit of 15 minutes and the attacking army must commit 500 manpower to the fight. If the attackers are not able to take the fort in 15 minutes, that army will route and the attackers will lose 300 manpower. If they win the siege, they gain the province and they lose only 250 manpower.
  • Armies do not have to leave men for a new garrison, when a fort is taken a 300 man garrison will take the fort.
  • Only 1 Artillery battery, cavalry regiment, skirmisher regiment are allowed for the attackers. Both sides are allowed 1 guard and 1 grenadier regiment during the siege.
  • If the defender chooses to sally forth and fight on the field, the battle will be run like a normal battle.

Siege Without a Fort/Army:If an army attacks a province with no fort and no hostile army, then the attackers will be met with a partisan resistance. The defenders will all go Russian Partisans and the officers will all go Russian Militia Officer. The partisan defenders are allowed to use guerilla tactics and do not need to be in lines to fight. The attackers are only allowed to fire out of line if they are garrisoned in a building. They must move out in line and fight in line against the partisan hordes.

Battle Time/ Mechanics: Each round will have a time limit of 20 minutes. The attacker in the battle will need to beat the defender within 20 minutes or the attacker will lose the round (-100 MP). This is to eliminate both armies from camping to save manpower. If the odds in the battle are 2:1 in the last 5 minutes of the round, an all charge will be called in order to eliminate the possibility of the defenders evading and running from the attackers to win the round. Running the clock is frowned upon and an all-charge can be called for the attackers in order to speed up the round.

Focus on your unit not your career"  meaning don't be power hungry for rank alls it is is a tag before your name dont think it makes you better than someone else. If you are in this regiment it is expected for you to never pass the rank of Cvl if you pass that swell if not no worries! Just focus on doing your job and making those poor bastards bleed. -LES IS MOREx

When Napoleon annexed the Kingdom of Holland, ruled until then by his brother Louis Bonaparte, the Dutch Royal Guard merged with the Imperial Guard. The Hussars of the Dutch Royal Guard were converted into the new unit of horse-mounted Lancers, they were given a new scarlet-coloured uniform (copied, except the colour, from Polish lancers uniform) from that was responsible for their name, as well as a new set of weapons. They also received a new leader - Col. Baron Pierre David de Colbert-Chabanais - under whom they were known properly as the 2nd Light Horse Lancers of Napoleon's Imperial Guard.
However, despite their previous posts in the Netherlands as the Royal Guards, they suffered enormous losses in the first invasion they participated in, which was that of Russia in 1812. While the devastation for the regiment at that particular conflict almost caused the entire dissolution of the newly formed unit, they would continue to serve in the military, but without many of the original Dutchmen, who were thought of as the pride of the regiment and who would be replaced by French soldiers. The following year, in 1813, the Red Lancers were a distinguished regiment in a battle in Germany, and once again, in 1814, where they fought in the areas then known as the Low Countries.

The next year after that, in 1815, Napoleon returned from his exile. The same year, the Red Lancers fought at Waterloo. Even though Dutch-Belgian cavalry commander van Merlen, one of the most highly ranked and celebrated army officers of the regiment, lost his life at Waterloo, some of the original Dutchmen still existed in the ranks, and would serve as Red Lancers long after the 1815 victory.

June 18th, the Northern Army is deployed in Waterloo, the Imperial Guard was held in reserve as a first step 75. To 3:30 p.m., Napoleon ordered to Marshal Ney to attack in order to seize the farm of Haie Sainte, near Mont-Saint-Jean 75. The Light Cavalry Division of the Guard loads the British squares between Hougoumont and La Haye Sainte, with regiments of cuirassiers of General Milhaud 75. The Duke of Wellington is training its squares infantry regiments and French during every load, the British gunners take refuge. Without support infantry or artillery, the cavalry charges are unsuccessful 75. Around 17 hours, Napoleon sent reinforcements the 3 th General Cavalry Corps Kellermann and the heavy cavalry division of the Imperial Guard of General Guyot, made ??up of horse grenadiers and dragons 76. The Light Cavalry Division of the Guard is forced to withdraw, exhausted by repeated charges, and reforms near Hougoumont 77. Around 20 hours, while the infantry of the Imperial Guard began to fall back, the light cavalry of the Guard abandoned his position and retreated 77. The 23rd of June 1815 Only 30 officers and 507 troops are still present in the regiment of lancers 78.

Historical commander of the 2eDLG. Born of noble lineage from the Colbert-Chabanais, he is the son of the Earl of Colbert, wealthy owner. He entered the army, as is the tradition in his family on 23 August 1793, but becomes suspect to the French Revolution. This however enlisted in the Republic. He made ??the campaign this year in the army of the Rhine, with the battalion of Paris, the William Tell. He moves from the body in the 11 th Hussars, is the sergeant in September and lieutenant in October 1793.

After three years of service in the Army of the Rhine and in Vendée, he is suspended from office by the General Hoche in 1796. He left the 7 th Hussars and the uniform to become commissary to the army of the East. Its task is actually to ensure supplies to the army of General Bonaparte in Egypt. Each regimental leader is expected to relay the rules to their regiment members, which are stated below, to make sure everyone has a good time. We maintain the right not to allow the attendance of any regiment, or remove any regiment from the list of attending regiments. The line battles will take place on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 8pm EST, 7pm Central, and 5pm PST.

Side Note: A team may only have Light Inf or Skirmishers and may in between rounds swap from one to the other.

GAME MODERATION
There will be two maps, typically with the first map best of three and the second map being best of 3. However admins have the right to shorten a map's rounds if the event appears to be dragging on. We all want the line battles to be a fun event, so lets all work together to make that happen! Regiment leaders we're asking you to moderate your own regiments more closely. This (hopefully) will reduce the need for an admin to step in and allow for our events to flow smoothly. However, an admin has the right to step in and note any rule infractions and may take the necessary steps to correct it (warning/slay/kick/ban). If you have any concerns during a line battle feel free to steam message an admin in the event.

If you do not like these rules, please do not apply. By applying to this event you accept the above rules

Regiments / 53e Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne [NA]
« on: December 07, 2014, 09:51:55 am »

This Regiment Fights for La Grande Armée

The 53e is a regiment that was founded on August 11th, 2014. Having originally being a apart of the 1st RL a small handful of members broke off and became the 21te and under the Prussian Army. Once again with another reform the regiment became know as the 53e Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne. The 53e is mainly a Line and Cavalry regiment, but we do occasionally play as Skirmishers and Artillery. The 53e is also the founding regiment of the the La Grande Armée that is filled with other French regiments like the 61e Cheverlegu Hussards, 101e Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne, KPR, 7th Royal Fusiliers, 4th Highlanders of Canada, and the 1st Polish Legion.

The 53e is strives to get bigger and better. Our line battles and training usually take place at 8pm EST(7pm Central, 5pm PST) and we like to have a fun and semi-strict environment. Outside of the Napoleonic Wars we have an active community called Bush Wookie Gaming. We invite all of the members to come into teamspeak before and after events to socialize with the rest of the regiment, making a more enjoyable environment for everyone.
