^  le what Tiki said

I'm ordering this bad boy next summer after my exams, and the specs I'm considering are as follows:
Quote
i7 6700HQ
GTX970M
8GB RAM (I've got a 8GB spare DDR4 stick from my cousin, but I don't know whether there will be a spare port to insert it)
250 GB Samsung EVO SSD (for Windows and games)
A spare 2.5mm 1TB disk I've already got at home for bulk
The cheap Arctic "thermal conductivity compound" for £9
3 Year Silver Warranty for £5
And then none of the other options, including the OS (Ill install a cracked one and my own drivers manually)

As you can see, I'm using a few components I've already got lying around to bring down the price - the laptop ended up costing
Quote
£876.67 ex VAT
£1,052.00 inc VAT

Spoiler
I'll see whether I can find a dodgy way to get around the VAT thing - perhaps by ordering it in a country with lower tax rates and getting a friend of my dad's who travels weekly to Europe to open it up, pretend to use it, and bring it in as undeclared through customs. My Greek genes don't like paying tax. We'll see how to run that later on.

Anyway, I hope that that suggestion put you on the right track :)

Edit: Just remembered that Barclays gave us a promotion deal with Kaspersky Antivirus free for 3 computers for 2 years - so that's the AV sorted as well :)

Hello sorry to bring this back up

I made my decision to buy a laptop.

But i got a question, whenever I play on the laptop NVIDIA, i get like very good GF scores and playing goes really smooth allthough it can't handle the best graphics so there is a bit of lag, while i play on my gaming PC AMD with a big tv screen without any lag and many FPS like 120 i still die all the time and playing does not go really smooth.

Do you guys know what the problem here is or is just a personal thing to get used to etc.

So you're saying that there's no lag on your PC and there is lag on your laptop, but you play better on your laptop anyway?

If that's the case, it may be something about the keyboard and/or mouse you use? Depends how new it is and how used to it you are. Are they in different places with different internet connections?
Hard to know tbh.

Well, I got a logitech gaming keyboard on my gaming pc and a rat gaming mouse. Whilst my laptop is an Asus with a normal mouse from the supermarket.
We don't really have different internet connections it's all from the same provider if that was the question. :x
