I can't afford either, I've just hooked up my 5 year-old old desktop PC to my 42" TV - It's got roughly the same specs anyway, and it's better for watching films and TV shows.
If I had to make a choice though, I'd go with the Xbox One. I was lucky enough to test the new Kinect Sports game (Kinect Sports: Rivals) and I can honestly say it's the best physical interaction set up I've ever used. Playing a game of tennis with the new Kinect camera against other testers actually felt realistic enough for me to become pretty damn competitive, and I'm not usually much of a competitive person - the motion tracking was accurate enough that skill ended up playing a huge part rather than the general "wave and hope" you usually have to use with other interactive systems.
Beyond those comments I generally prefer the feel of the Xbox's controllers. The PS4 controller is leaning towards the Xbox's ergonomic sculpted shape far more than the one PS1/2/3 controllers did, but I still find the controllers far too small for my hands - made worse by the stubby grips. It doesn't help that the PS4 controller's grips look like a pair of boy toys protruding from a low-budget handheld console knock-off:
(I really hope they gave it a waterproof seal to go with the vibrate setting)
At the end of the day I can't see anyone my age having the money to buy either of them anyway. I'm quite content with my second-hand 360, and thanks to the new consoles I can now replace my stolen hard-drives far cheaper than before they came out.
