Is this mod even alive?

I stopped playing this game around 2017-2018, and I heard that the DA/UB had disbanded, and everyone left. What has even happened?

What do you mean dead? As of the time writing this; There's still a weekly schedule filled with both EU and NA events.
And from my observations, the Saturday EU event can still average around 90-120 players per event.

As for the Dixieland Army, it did disband, but that doesn't mean everyone left or just stopped playing.
For instance; the UB, which was a part of the DA, is still around and still actively participates in these events.
