Has anyone ever tried a 40k themed regiment?

While I know that NW is historically based and I love it because of that, has anyone ever created a warhammer 40k themed regiment. For example: 101st Cadian Infantry?

Can confirm. They used the ranking structure of the Imperial Guardsmen. Though I doubt there was ever a 69th Bolodong fighting filthy Xenos in the name of the Empraaah.

I had a Death Korps of Krieg Regiment for Iron Europe. Worked for a little while. To bad IE was shite.
