Networking is the biggest part of the game.
...hope that one day this community will go back to the way it used to be, the way it was with dozens of huge regiments, a community that cared about one another and just wanted to help others, a place that helped breed one of the greatest communities I've ever know...
Well that would mean I'd have to somehow bring back every great leader from old NW and have them comeback somehow. There's no way I can just make the 51st reappear or have all the 1stEPG just come out of nowhere. It's just a fact, I'm not Diplex and I can't attract or sway people with money, I just don't have that sort of ability. That's why I feel BCoF is the uniting factor among everyone that can help bring everyone back to the way things were, just with a new game....hope that one day this community will go back to the way it used to be, the way it was with dozens of huge regiments, a community that cared about one another and just wanted to help others, a place that helped breed one of the greatest communities I've ever know...
I'm indifferent on the whole WoR vs. BCoF thing, but what I will say is that Will, if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. Don't wait for the community to decide to do it.

I didn't say everyone would, but it would be something that could help bring people together. Just because people don't the like the setting of a new game doesn't mean they won't at least play it or give it a try.Well that would mean I'd have to somehow bring back every great leader from old NW and have them comeback somehow. Not everyone enjoys the Civil War
I love it how its just jump ship to WoR x3
Digging how devs only reply with a cynical correction rather than address the post...
Well said William.
I said it several times already, the game isn't dead. There was no need to respond to this. Its just very silent at the moment.
I couldn't have said it any better myself Stockings, excellent run down and analysis.I said it several times already, the game isn't dead. There was no need to respond to this. Its just very silent at the moment.
While it is nice to hear that the game is still in development, I think one of the main points of William's argument is that people are having trouble merely taking your word for it at this point. Of course the game probably isn't dead. That wasn't what was being suggested, or what we're truly worried about. What's happening with most people is that they're losing trust in FSE's ability to be honest and to communicate with the community in a transparent manner. Posts like this certainly don't hurt, but with all respect, they don't improve the situation either.
People want to see progress. It doesn't need to be groundbreaking progress. It can just be a 30 second video of alpha footage, or a new set of maps, or something like that. The fact that it's been months and months, and you don't even have a single skin to show (obviously you probably do have more stuff that's finished, but the point is that we haven't seen it), means the community is getting uneasy. Most of us haven't given up hope completely, or we wouldn't even be inquiring about this anymore. But as the months go on, you lose more and more members of the community. More people who would buy and play BCOF if only they had a little bit of information to keep up their interests.

I mean, he can afford to spend money on hundreds and hundreds of keys, so he's probably got some form of wealth trickling in. Don't imagine he's got a job himself or he wouldn't be doing what he does.

3 years is nothing. Especially for an indie developer trying to make a ambition game that has 500 players at once.
I remember seeing Final fantasy 15 at e3 2006. That's almost 10 YEARS! And the demo is only coming out next month. Square Enix also a huge development team with millions of dollars to spend.
So calm down please and put down your pitch forks and let FSE develop this game at their own pace not yours. You are not entitled to chose their pace of development.
Am I the only one who's lost any sort of hope of BCoF coming out?I honestly don't care for Battle Cry of Freedom, I'm physicked about Bannerlord II, hoping for a mount and musket type mod
Ody for once you and I agree on something.http://www.metacritic.com/feature/games-that-shed-vaporware-statusI love your signature ::)

You shouldn't take your boredom of NW and turn it into frustration of the lack of dev blogs. I would be surprised if there is any NW vets (500+ hours on NW) who isn't burned out of NW by now.Ody for once you and I agree on something.http://www.metacritic.com/feature/games-that-shed-vaporware-statusI love your signature ::)

Nipplestockings said it perfectly a few pages back, when this was announced I was super pumped and would have thrown some money at it if I had the resources, but now any word at all is so few and far between I'm questioning if I'm even going to buy it. Almost three and a half years of NW burnt me out completely and it's been almost five months since I've done any serious regiment business. Just basically what Nipplestockings said, long story short, an update of any kind would be nice.

Oh no I'm not combining the two, you misunderstand me. I guess what I'm saying is that since I've moved away from NW I've got into other games and communities, so some updates on BCOF would be great to kind of keep me here, cause I don't really want to leave. :PYou shouldn't take your boredom of NW and turn it into frustration of the lack of dev blogs. So I'm a vet X 3 + 186? Wonder if I can get a prestige?

500+ hours is vet? D:
Why make a mount and musket type mod for banner lord? Why not make one for Battle Cry of Freedom since the mechanics will already be there... Plus i hate the native up swing, and prefer the upstab NW has.LOL, the upswing from NW came straight from With fire and sword. In the game files its literally called WFaS_UPswing or something like that. I'm pretty sure that bannerlord will implement these kinds of up attacks into spears or at least pikes.
Instead of reworking the melee mechanics and shit you would literally just need to reskin and adjust stats
Then you have NW with 500 player servers

No offense but development standards 14000 euros or 16000$ is like nothing lol. Unity engine costs 1500$. Music probably costs thousands more.http://www.metacritic.com/feature/games-that-shed-vaporware-status

The point is that we want to see development, and developer blogs and want to see what is happening, as well as seeing our money go to what we donated, we dont want to be kept in the dark.
