I think it was a good idea to make an episode about that battle. It made it way more epic.

It's been the only episode so far that have really shown of a battle, I mean most of Robb's battles didn't even have a single scene And the siege of kings landing wasn't that impressing either IMO.
This was pretty good though.

They didn't show it in the books either. I think they handled it pretty well.

They did actually but in the books Grenn wasn't present when the giant attacked and is still supposed to be alive, it was actually the blacksmith Donal Noye who kills by stabbing it in the throat before it breaks his spine.

I am really intrigued as to whether he will be saved or not. He has this air of destiny about him.

Btw when is the next book (winds of winter) available for purchase??? The book is already done but Martin's Publisher wanted him to release it at the end of this season's GOT tv series for maximum sales. The last episode airs this coming Sunday I believe. Just wondering if the book date is official yet or...?
