We haven't yet decided on factions to add beyond the three given. Expect some more, though.

Awesome!  I saw this on Taleworlds a while ago, and played it occasionally.  I can't wait to tell my regiment about this mod, once it's finished.

Glad to see people are finding interest.

In other news, we've got the next two Austrian regiments we are going to make, and have begun work on their implementation.

Infanterie-Regiment Luzzara Nr.48
 This was an Italian regiment (one of two) that fought in the Austrian Army. Chose this regiment as the uniform was slightly unique to what we currently have.

Kurprinz Infanterie
 This is a Bavarian Infantry unit. We chose this unit for a few reasons: we want to begin implementing minor germanic nations into their major counterparts for which they fought, they're uniform is neat, and I like Bavaria :p

 In addition, we still need to get the Hessian Leib Infanterie Uniforms done, however it is not a top priority- as Prussia already has a a decent array of infantrymen.

Question = It is a musket era mod, named shot and shell. However muskets are loaded with shots, but do not produce a shell.

 In other news, sorry for the lack of updates as we had the past day or two. I have been working since then, but my work is in code and thus I have no screenshots to post. Our modeler/skinner was taken victim by the super bowl, and thus we are slightly delayed. Not sure if we will meet the two new Austrian regiments goal met by tomorrow, but we will be releasing 'Shot and Shell v0.1 Pre-Alpha Build' sometimes late afternoon tomorrow. This build will only be for developers and a few regiments who have expressed interest to me via PM. I don't like working like this, but it could be disastrous for the mod if it is released to the general public at such an early state, as many may discredit the mod without taking into acount it is exremely pre-alpha. I will begin despatching invitational PMs following suit to this post. You may still express your regiment's wish to test the mod, but don't be disappointed if you do not get access early. We will slowly add regiments over time.

 In other news, I have been thinking in terms of cavalry. Historically, cavalry was used constantly in the Seven Years War. On many occasions, an army on the brink of destruction would turn the tides and win the day due to a well placed cavalry charge from a cavalry commander's own initiative. All cavalry could be counted on to charge headlong into furious melee. A lesser-noted fact, however, is that virtually all cavalry possessed a firearm of some sorts. As such, I was thinking of implementing some major changes. These changes will of course be tested via alpha testing.

  • Give all cavalry some form of carbine or relative firearm
  • Cavalry may not fire via horseback
  • The mounted melee skills of cavalry will be increased above the norm in NW
  • Horses speed will be increased, while their health decreased

These are just some ideas, and will of course be tested for balance in testing. Further down the line when I become less occupied, I will see about implementing a horse stamina system, whilst increasing maximum charge speed a tad more- that's a while off, however.
