Just curious if anyone have Scourge of War - Gettysburg or Chancellorsville, Antietam, Pipe Creek or Brandy Station, feel free to share your story or screenies.

Wanting to play with other players. I operate a SoW Steam group that is currently formed and planning to host several campaigns in the future to everyone.

One of finest real time stragety of civil war era. Love using the courier to pass orders or message to other players and hearing the rebel yell as I order a charge.

personally if you like the American Civil War, you'll like it very much. Very realistic with the commands. Battle last to 3-4 hours depending the scenario. Realism make it up for the graphic.

Its one of the best strategic and tactic games about the war.
It is even better then Take Command: Second manassas, which is one of the best known and popular civil war battles games.

I also made a thread with some other civil war games on this board, which includes that ;)

Long ass battles? That's something that could appeal to me. Overly complex? ehhhh.... I'm always willing to learn, but sometimes these complex strategy games overwhelm me.

Well when i first played it, i was overwhelmed with the size of command. (Start with Brigade, its much easier until you get hang of command, you can go up to Division, Corps, or entire Army). I literally tried my best to outlast the scenario and when it ends, i just go to bed. All pooped out. But when i got hang of it, i literally play it all day with all the great mods and additions they offer to keep you busy all day.

Just downloaded the napoleonic mod today and tried it out. I liked it so far, would like to try it up against or with humans instead of AI.

I once played 5 hours straight commanding A.P. Hill Corp and won the battle of Gettysburg in one day instead of historically (3 days)

Actually its compatablity, my friend had a window 8 but he run window 7 for this game.

And I'll go with Gettysburg since its base game for Antietam and Pipe Creek. But Chancellorsville is like little bit more upgraded graphic and the flags are awesome in Chancellorsville. I havent bought Brandy Station yet so i dont know that one yet.

Yes, Getty and Antietam here.

Along with HistWar  ( histwar 2 will come in time ) is the definite translation of kriegsspiel into a pc game and well worth the money invested.

Wonder if we can setup a CoC session one of these months.
