Since the NBL has been canceled, we will attend regularly now. We are actually Light Infantry so it would be lovely, if you would put us on the Lights waiting list. Since your waiting list is -as far as I know- a little bit cramped, we might move to another event if we get the chance to play Light Infantry there. But since that is highly unlikely, you can count on us for now. My people are just a bit unhappy playing lines especially since I am a fairly incompetent line commander.

Can feel your pain, but we believe this event is fun for lines as well, and not very unfair towards them when it comes to class balance. If you play regularly as line inf, you are 2nd on the waiting list for lights.

Inspired by the success of our Ve Wednesday LB Literary Contest, we have decided to squeeze out your creative juices once more, this time choosing a format more popular among the troops.

While skimming through a Spring issue of the Christian Observer periodical, one article has caught the attention of the event management staff. In it, we have learnt that the youth nowadays loves indulging in these devilish pastimes called "meming" and "meme-making". Needless to say, it has immediately occurred to us that patronizing such activities in form of a contest could bring smiles to weary faces of the lads on both sides of the field, and help them forget about the harsh conditions of the Wednesday Front, at least for a little while.

So without further ado, we would like to announce the start of the
Ve Wednesday LB Meme Contest


And it wouldn't be a good contest if it didn't had a set of rules, so let us clear that out of the way right here



General Rules

1. The theme of the contest is the Ve Wednesday LB, so your work must be somehow related to the event, or to the attending regiments.
2. Only members of the regiments signed up for weekly attendance are allowed to submit their work.
3. Each individual may submit up to 3 (three) memes and no more than that.
4. Seeing how your entries will end up published on this forum thread, we strongly suggest you avoid submitting any NSFW material, racial and other intolerance, or anything that goes against the FSE forum rules, lest you may end up disqualified.
5. Please avoid submitting work that insults other regiments in a distasteful way, especially the regiments that you are not on friendly terms with. Such works may earn you a low score in the best case.



Rating Process

While we would love to have the winner decided by a popular vote, such a thing cannot be organized without everyone trying to rig it, or be subject to regimental bias. Therefore we will employ a jury again, made mostly of event admins.

As in the previous competition, members of the jury will hide their decisions from each other until the end of the contest, in order to avoid affecting each other or knowing who might be the winner.

However this time we won't be rating multiple categories but only the general impression, and your score will be average of ratings given by all the jury members. Rates will be in 1-10 format.



The Prize

The biggest award for all the contestants will be the act of taking part in itself, as we are doing all this to have some fun. However, there will also be modest monetary awards for your Steam Wallets, for 1st and 2nd place. Prize for 1st place will be double the amount of prize of the previous contest.



Submission Rules

There is only one way to send us valid submissions, which is by posting on this thread using the template below. Works sent in any other way will be ignored, as we do not have resources to handle administrative tasks of storing and labeling your material.

If you do not have an FSE account, either make one or have someone else post it. If possible, it would be convenient if your officers (who have an FSE account) gather your submissions and post as many as possible in one go, to avoid spamming the forum.

Submission deadline is one week from now, ending on the noon of the 6th May.
