Napoleon was a better game than Empire anyway. Better mechanics and Combat. Only missed out on the progressive map that Empire had but hey, I would rather better battles.

NTW had fantastic battles, and cinematography, but Empire's scope and campaign was beautiful. Thats why an Empire II would be amazing.

Combat mechanics of Rome II, the old technology tree and map functionality with the map of empire two.. maybe even bigger. Just a huge ass map would be cool , to actually have to think about strategic complications like exposure of borders. But with the obvious military focus that Total War always had.

i dont see how that would be possible, though.

Rise of Nations is a really good RTS that features borders, large armies and city building/control with occupation mechanics.

Sort of like a mix of AoE and Civilization

They also planned for columns to work like they do in NTW3 but as a formation button, but it never made it into the game, the city battlefields were also larger and more dense in the NTW alpha build.





Cut Chassepot Bayonet from Fall of the Samurai that was reintroduced by several mods.
