As an outsider from this tournament, I'd say that both sides are right tbh
Lancers are OP to EU structures because they're not used to it for the simple fact that through all EU NW history, no competitive structure managed to promote enough the lancer as a viable class.
So with time in the EU competitive scene, lancers became kinda the off limit class as if you manage to put good players as lancers, they'll be seen as OP by the rest of the community which is not used to play against such a class.
And because of that, adapting your tactics to play against such a class may be trickier than expected because, well you simply never face such structures.
On the other hand, lancers are a class like any other.
They have their pros and cons.
They may have an incredible range, maneuverability and a decent speed but they cannot block, the speed of their hit is quite slow and their life is pretty much the same as the hussars.
So in the end, yeah through tactics and adaptability you can defeat them, but it is most likely a big challenge for most of EU players simply because of the fact that it is probably the first time that lancers are used and allowed in tournaments on the EU scene.
