Ambush Event (Scenario Battle) 5:00 PM EST Saturday October 22nd

I would love to see that initial surprise volley from the French point of view, and I wish I could have communicated better to all the other regiments on our side to get one massive 40ish man volley.

(one rule being considered)
- France will fire a volley while still in spawn before moving out and not reload. Weapons will then be placed on their backs for marching. This will add a bit to the realism and also add to some of the panic once Russia initiates combat. This is also intended to be a balancing rule to make the initial ambush more effective. (any suspicious activity, such as movement spotted in the wilderness or strange objects placed in the road, is reason enough for regiments to halt and prepare for the worst by shouldering and loading their weapons.)

I think one round of that would be neat.

+1 I like how in the video they were steady talking about my marines, towards the end. We chased that flag down and came back to get swarmed at the fort lol.

I think I messed up the points a little bit because the Pub Regiment should have the most and 1st Reddit Brigade should have a little less I think but I am going to try something with these scores for next round. the highest scores can call "dibs" on certain special roles or objectives.

The regiments listed can call a few different roles. It will be first come first server for these regiments. The special roles to be called are the following.
- Guaranteed Russia for 2 rounds
- French Vanguard (leading regiment in the column, and only regiment with their weapons loaded and ready to go)
- French Arty
- French Mounted Guard (guard for the general) 5
- Russian Cav 5
- French Sapper
- Russian Sapper

yeah, only call one. This is something I am going to attempt to makes the points actually matter and make teams strive to earn the most points possible.

I use the second post on this forum to update the event, list regiments, and make the teams. Be sure to check it out before this Saturday

Teams are somewhat flexible, the only thing that will be 100% sure is that regiments who either didn't get to be Russia last event, are new to the event, or called dibs on being Russia are guaranteed a turn as the ambushing side. You might not have the team that is listed, but that is the attempt if you wish to try and make some kind of plan before hand.
