I'd rather it not be politics based but more of a place for different nationalities to discuss similarities and differences of their experiences. Also hopefully a sort of mutual respect and acknowledgement for each other's militaries and warriors whatever their governments agenda is

Yeah, I meant on the more technical side. There was some technical discussion prior for example about AA-missile systems in the topic before and of course discussion about the national service and how people felt about it. I think such should be fine here as well.

But yeah, only reason the thread is titled 'British Army' is because I myself am in the process of joining and wanted to see if anyone else was / has served.
