Einigkeit macht stark!

His Majesty, the King of Belgium, ruler of the Flemish, calls for a complete re-vamp of the educational system in Belgium. In gym lessons, students, girls and boys alike would study the martial art of Savate, a local martial art believed to be French by many. Schools will now uphold a 12 year system, divided into two separate parts: first 6 years would teach the basics of math, language (French, Flemish, German and Dutch) and basic scientific principles. The 2nd part of the 12 years would not be mandatory, but would teach higher levels of mathematics, science, languages and more. Without the complete 12 years of education, a student would not be able to get funding from the government to study at a university! Last but not least, he calls for a complete re-vamp of the military system, hereby presented in the next sheet:

1. Every combat unit would from now on receive a training curriculum of a year and a half, to completely ready the units for battle.
2. Soldiers of any combating unit would now carry a pistol, as a secondary weapon, in case of a straight engagement. An order will be placed and sent to the industry that leads the manufacturing of pistols in Belgium, and the government would pay the necessary funds to make sure every combating soldier would be able to have a pistol.
3. Soldiers will not be allowed to engage a unit in combat unless they were being fired upon, then they would use any means necessary to give a fight back.
4. The military would transfer to a voluntary system based on the situation Belgium would be in, therefore, in times of war, full conscription and Extended Mobilisation would occur.

His Majesty also says that the military would now offer job positions in its technological division, for research and development of new weaponry. The main focus of the research would be planes, and the King announces that any friend of Belgium would receive the technologies researched by Belgium, but for a small price. He accepts the offer for opening an embassy from the Kingdom of Portugal.

Rossiyskaya Imperiya

In attempt to prevent further conflict in the east, and to create a larger sense of unity in the Balkans, Russia proposes a mutual non-aggression pact across the Balkans. The Tsar hopes that all involved countries will find the sense in this offer.

"Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno"

Switzerland restructures its military

Switzerland has for many years had universal mandatory conscription and this shall not change. This restructure though is done in order to better organize the defense of Switzerland's sovereignty. The Swiss government in Zürich does not which to cause any alarm to its neighbors and insists that this is not an act of aggression. The current force of the Swiss military is 252,098 men at full mobilization. The Swiss government must warn other nations that it will be adopting a zero tolerance policy towards troops of other nations coming within Switzerland's boarders. Such an act will be viewed as an act of aggression, to such detail that a state of war would exist between our two nations.

The Schmidt-Rubin Model 1911 Rifle will remain the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Military. It has proven to be a reliable rifles and highly accurate rifle, better even then Germany's famed Gewehr 98.
The Swiss government would like to request the purchase of a number of Hotchkiss M1909 Benét–Mercié machine guns off of France, to be used as a mobile heavy machine gun for Alpine units.

The French Republic

The French Republic will undergo military reforms, for the better good of the nation and the French military. We will make the military, both the army and navy, completely voluntary, unless if it is necessary during wartime. We will also train all French troops for 3 months before they will officially be in service. If any French soldiers, currently in service, have not been trained for 3 months, they are to be deported back to the training grounds and re-trained.

Over the recent years, zouaves have became an uncommon sight, due to the sight of the constant evolving warfare. France, however, will honour its past military traditions and begin recruiting zouave troops in the African colonies. African men, from regions like Algeria and Morocco, will form the basis of the regiments as rankers, while French-bred men will become the officers. We hope that this will increase relationships between the French sovereignty and the French-owned colonies.

The French Republic will try to build up a stronger navy. They shall following the naval designs of the United Kingdom and Germany, focusing on building the newly-founded dreadnoughts.

The French Republic will unfortunately deny the Portuguese alliance request, but will send military officers to train and keep good relations, open a trade agreement and open an embassy in Portugal.

The French Republic hereby stops sharing military desings with Ethiopia and will not send any military advisors to their country. We don't believe that an African country should be shared the ideals of westernized countries.

The French Republic hereby accepts the Swiss taking of the Hotchkiss M1909 Benét–Mercié machine-guns for them to use in their military, but we do request that you also give us some rifles.

The Kingdom of Sweden begins investing in Industrial and Civil improvements beginning to improve the railways and roads linking up to key swedish towns.
We will also begin investing in military advancements.

The Kingdom of Sweden accepts norways non-aggression treaty and accept their research cooperation deal.
Sweden also begins to promote it's own neutrality wanting to stay out of affairs that seek to damage our nation.

The French Republic

The French Republic accepts the request of the Swiss purchase of 72 Hotchkiss M1909 Benét–Mercié machine-guns. This purchase will cost the Swiss Republic, roughly, around 60,000 Francs.

Both Swiss and French engineers have came together in order to increase the strength of the Franco-Swiss border.
