Austria Hungary offers German Empire a trade agreement.

Austria Hungary invites The German Empire to send officers to train our soldiers.

Austria Hungary offers to buy Gewehr 98's for our army. We will arm our infantry divisions with the Gewehr 98's.
[close]

The German Empire reminds Austria Hungary of the Central Powers alliance,

The German Empire accepts the trade agreement, and also will sell the Gewehr 98's to Austria Hungary.

We however will not send you German officers at this present moment as we are currently occupied in the training of the Italian soldiers.

The German Empire will begin to work more on the production of these Gewehr's as we are selling/making a considerable amount of them.

The German Empire accepts the trade agreement with Belgium.

Austria Hungary declines both French offers.

Austria Hungary accepts The Kingdom of Belgium's non aggression pact and trade agreement.

Austria Hungary in reply to Russia: We wish to make sure that our nation is safe from all threats, after all the French attacked our peaceful nation many times in the past 100 years.

OCC: Guys stop making trade agreements.

It is already stated in the rules at only Communist and Fascist governments can control a nation's trade, otherwise it is all already automated so that you are trading with every possible nation you can when the game begins. A Government can pick to embargo or make very specific deal like my arms purchase off of France.

Major Event

The date is 1st of July, 1914.

Archduke Franz Ferdinand, along with the pregnant archduchess Sophie, has been assassinated by a Serbian Nationalist! The assailant, one Gavrilo Princip, is reported to be a member of the infamous Black Hand. The entire crew has been captured, and awaits further action from Austria.

Austria-Hungary demands Serbia give full control of the investigation, which Serbia believes is in violation of its national sovereignty!

Note

This is not Enlightenment. There are no trade agreements. You are all modern nations with privately owned economies, corporations, companies, etc etc.

Not only that, I see a lot of you trying to rush planes, rifles, advanced tech, etc. This is the beginning of the game, where war was not seen as something that was going to happen. I have moved all the research and military research to start at this date forward, and did not allow Power Gaming policies or un-called for proliferation of one's military (like Warband's pistols for all soldiers).

Please, for the love of god, research your nation, research WW1, study some fucking history before I close this game early due to the lack of knowledge some of you have.

Regarding military, conscription was a big thing of WW1 and was key to some nations defeats and victories. The nations that chose to reduce the size of their military have been allowed to do so. Do not cry foul when a bigger nation with a larger military steamrolls your tiny military due to your own actions.

Good Luck, Have fun, please try to at least act like a WW1 nation, and may whatever god you believe have mercy on your souls for I will have none regarding player mistakes.

Remember that Bold is for actions and italics are for dialogue / everything else. If this is not followed I will simply pretend your action does not exist.

Remember the beginning treaties some of you are in, and please act accordingly.

ALWAYS pm me secret agreements, secret actions, war plans, etc etc or I will pretend they do not exist. If you have any questions at all, please PM ME.

Peter the first of Serbia gives it's condolences to the royal family. Although this is a horrific event we do not claim responsibility. If an offer is reasonable we will pay to show our grief. We will  not hand you full control of the case but will let you play a major key in making sure this awful man will go away.

Research will begin in the area of social welfare and economy, in attempt to make the life in Belgium better.
Great Britain asks Belgium to stay neutral in this conflict, we also ask Austria and Serbie to keep this Conflict between these 2. We just had a Balkan War, do we really want another ?

Rossiyskaya Imperiya

Russia enters partial mobilization, citing an increasing threat of war due to international tensions. The Army will be posted on the border. In an attempt to stimulate agriculture in the nation, the Government enacts the Grain Act. Farmers will be paid 250R for every ton of grain harvested, as well as the pay they receive from buyers.
