The Artists name is Don something he's good but not from a skinning perspective, he rarely shows the full regiment uniform and not always our period of the war.

Troiani is interested in the American Revolution above all else. He was a rev war reenactor for many years. All of his paintings of individual soldiers can be identified by regiment and state of origin. If you were to use paintings for impressions, go with him, but period sources and descriptions are always best. Period sources could be like "run-away ads" or deserter identifications.

You're really going to hope for the 2nd Continental dragoons? You should be hoping for the most famous dragoon unit of the war, Lee's Legion, under "Light Horse" Harry Lee, father of Robert E Lee.
