I'm considering getting it, as I'd like a game I can just casually hop on and shoot people on, but not sure if I'll get it yet. One thing I'm curious about: Will it get rid of all the damn purple and black textures and ERROR props in Gmod, or do I actually need CS:Source specifically? Not that that fact will be a deciding factor, but it would be nice if it did.

CS:Source is the one that shares textures & models with Gmod not CS:GO. But that dosen't mean you will get rid of all purple shiet and erorrs since it shares textures & models with other source games as well.

It's simple and look's rather cool. You should try and AK camo or an AWP camo.
