About Us

We are a new brand new regiment that are dedicated to destroying the enemies of the king. We are very strict in our training but most of the time we like to have fun in and out of NW.  The need for such strict training is to prove that we Afrikaners can compete with the best regiments Europe has to offer. We would like to only recruit mature players who are ready to uphold the name of the 1st South African Regiment of Foot and strive to be respectable active members of the NW community.

History
I have been having these strange dreams... There are these soldiers that I see, dark soldiers from Africa. They are a unstoppable force these Highlanders of the Cape, We threw every regiment of Grenadiers we had at them but they still were no match for the melee skills of the Africans. Our lines broke under their heavy musket fire, more devastating than any piece of artillery. New reports from the recent battles prove my suspicions to be correct, there is no stopping them. I don't know what motivates these men, But they scare the life out of me. - A excerpt from Napoleon Bonaparte's journal.

And Napoleon was right. The 1st South African Regiment of Foot was one of the most effective units in the British Armies at the time. They always lead the charge on enemy positions and because of this they had very high casualty rate. But this actually would benefit the regiment since the weak and uncoordinated soldiers would die and be replaced by younger, stronger troops. The most decisive battle they ever fought was when they joined up with the Prussian Garde-Volontar Jagers to rout the PLG Cav from the battlefield with their lances between their legs.

Titles
Flag Bearer : Carries the Regimental Colors into battle. Only soldiers who have shown extreme bravery and lived to tell the tale can have this honor.

Drummer : Plays leaders commands to guide those who may have trouble hearing said leader. Usually a recruit or private whose musket abilities still require some training, though any member may volunteer for the duty

Piper/Fifer : Same as the Drummer but only used when a decent amount members attend the linebattle

Chosen men : Assigned to the 2nd line. Used as cannon fodder to cover retreats and to distract a enemy. Mainly members who are skilled in melee are used but others can be used depending on the situation.

After being disbanded because of Civil War among members. I have decided to start from scratch and bring the 4. West Prussian Dragoons back from the dead and restore the honor of our glorious regiment.
