Kirby

Sergeant Maurice James Kirby moved overseas to Tennessee when the conditions in his home town of Waterford, Ireland had become unsuitable. Only three days after settling in, Kirby managed to get himself into the thick of a bar fight, A fight in which he managed to take the life of a man, who later was revealed to be the Lieutenant of the 2nd Tennessee. With blood on his hands, and over 20 witnesses to his crime, He was to be sentenced to death or enlisted into a penal military unit, The 2nd Tennessee.
After a few years of service, and quietly keeping his true identity hidden, "James Kirby" was able to gain the rank of Sergeant, and now as the civil war is nigh, He is called to fight for his country, and Dixieland.

Landcaster

Lord Octavius Aubrey Landcaster traces his roots to the Norman house of Landcaster (pronounced Land-Carster), who invaded and conquered part of Ireland in 1066, confusing it for England. The House rose to be aristocratic Anglo-Irish nobles, whose name is drawn from the the term land-caster, as when giving charity they cast land upon peasants rather than giving pennies, as they found it much easier. This may have been the reason why they soon went bankrupt and invested in the slave trade. With the banning of the slave trade in the British Empire the Landcasters moved to Dixieland where they felt people were more "forward-thinking" and so Octavius was quick to volunteer when war broke out, to defend his family's honour and his right to shout at people probably more intelligent than he is.

Miguel

Miguel Jesus de Santamaria y Mario de la Santisima Trinidad de la Ciudad de Acapulco Fernandez, also known as "Miguel", hails from the city of Acapulco and gave up his job as a professional mattress tester to jump the border and seek a new life as a bandito in the United States. He soon realised himself to be in the middle of a Civil War. After mistaking a recruitment center for a saloon (and with no comprehension of English) he soon found himself shipped to the frontlines with some Irishmen who were also deemed "incomprehensible". He now tries to find an escape from the war and return to his beloved mother's busome in Acapulco by any means possible. However, tragically all his attempts have been proven fruitless as no one can understand his foreign tounge.

Koach

Don Eulogio Koach de la Rivera is a veteran of the Argentinian civil war, forced to escape the country after being accused of being Unitarian, and threatened to have corn shoved up his rear by the Popular Restorer Society. Fearing the red-dressed savages, he fled his divided soy republic by sneaking into a random ship, ending up in the United States completely by accident. After doing many odd jobs, his hatred towars the natives and mexicans drew him to military service, joining the Union Army in the late 1850's. By the time the war broke out, he defected and joined the Confederate army, for the simple fact that he liked grey coats more than blue.

Medine

When Mr. Medine was not watching his slaves working away hacking sugar cane in the Louisiana sun, he was reading books on the Prussian military. He often enjoyed parading around his plantation in uniform. Everybody in the parish thought that he wasn’t quite right in the head; especially after he declared himself Archduke of Louisiana, Count of Quebec, and the rightful King of France and Spain. Yet his neighbors let him go along on his way…until he wanted to build an army of his own. Because nobody else was willing to enlist (partially because parading around in full uniform in the middle of a Deep Southern summer wasn’t all that appealing to most folks), he began drafting his own slaves into his private army. This alarmed his neighbors so much to the point that they had him arrested on the obviously false charges of attempting to foment a slave revolt, but Mr. Medine used his high social position to avoid time in prison and instead offered to enlist in the army. Now he hopes to take these Tennessee Irishmen and retake his glorious royal claims.
