Regiments / Nr.42 Plotz Infantry Regiment
« on: December 06, 2015, 01:13:02 am »
We started off at North and South mod as the Army of the Tennessee River for the Union. Since it's getting a bit more hash dash for us to do NaS events, we decided to raise an Napoleonic Wars regiment since many of us used to be in a NW regiment at some point in time. Those of us from the AoT have come together to form this regiment as a new challenge and a way to get back into something fun and competitive.

Leutnant (2nd Lieutenant): Third_Doctor
Fahnrich (Ensign): Basil
Corporal:  John Sharpe
Gefreiter (Lance Corporal): McDuke | Patriots
Musketier (Private): Constantinos

North & South: First Manassas / Native Americans in NAS?
« on: July 15, 2015, 03:49:55 am »
So I was doing a Commander Battle today and I noticed, as CSA, you can apparently lead Natives in the Commander Battle. Is this only for Commander Battle or is this one of those special skins only unlocked if you join a certain regiment?

North & South: First Manassas / Linebattle Ettiquette
« on: July 07, 2015, 05:09:53 am »
I've been looking around but I can't find a post that has some sort of general LB ettiquette/rules? Like is there an agreed upon set of rules or are the rules for LB's decided by their hosts?

Everything seems pretty good... But I dunno, maybe a few extra state banners should be added. You have like Maine, Virginia and such but you're missing a couple of other state regimental colors. There are some state regiments that are in the game but can't quite find their state in the banners so they need to default to the American flag or something. Just an idea.

General Discussion / Re: Calvary

I just want the cavalry to be able to do three things: 1.) Accurate, realistic melee fighting 2.) The ability to get your horse shot out from beneath you like it would've in a realistic battle 3.) Fight similar to light infantry when dismounted... Similar to dragoon style I suppose. If they put that in there, they'd have me.

I'd honestly need to go with cavalry. Cavalry is an important asset to an army in that time period and without them, an army is blind without the information from them. They can pretty much fight as well as infantry when dismounted... John Buford at Gettysburg proved that when his two brigades held against General Heth's division, keeping the high ground under Union control.
