Technical Support / Multiplayer Mods Demand Serial Key (non-Steam)
« on: May 14, 2016, 02:21:24 am »
Hello everyone,

Been having some issues lately in that every multiplayer mod as well as native asks that I enter a serial key when I try to enter a multiplayer server. When I enter the serial key it does not accept it. Regular NW works fine though and I can play Native singleplayer as well. Any tips?

Historical Discussion / Battlefield Muscians: A Few Historical Questions
« on: February 28, 2015, 11:33:39 pm »
Hello ladies and gentlemen. It is time for another of my historical questions.

Musicians, love them or hate them, they are a common sight in Mount and Blade Napoleonic Wars. Drummers and buglers are often compared to modern day radiomen bringing order and control for the officer in the heat of battle. They of course through their music helped relay commands to the rest of the line from the officer. Drummers for for line infantry and buglers for light infantry and cavalry. However in the line of battle where would they be placed? That is, when the firing started where would you find the musician? Secondly I ask when it came to assault a position, whether it be at the walls of Smolensk or Hougomont, what would a musician be expected to do? I have heard some highly anecdotal evidence that they would be tending the wounded in the rear, and that killing a musician was frowned upon, but this does not make too much sense.

Finally; what about flutists and bagpipers? Did they play any role in battle, and when?

So where would a musician be in the battle, and if it came to a assault on a position what would they do? Please use genuine historical info from books rather then anecdotal evidence from videos games or forums.

Historical Discussion / Uniform Plates
« on: July 24, 2014, 07:44:59 am »
So I have been looking at the mont saint jean site (http://centjours.mont-saint-jean.com/) showing detailed drawings of the uniforms during the Hundred Days. It is a fine site however it only represents one part of the Napoleonic wars and I was wondering if there are any other sites of similar or better quality. So kindly link said sites if any exist.

Historical Discussion / Spanish Foreign Regiments (Napoleonic)
« on: July 04, 2014, 07:09:21 am »
Hello folks, I am here once again to ask a few questions concerning the Walloon, Irish, Italian, and Swiss regiments (I assume they still existed during this period) in service during the Napoleonic wars.

1) What did they do in war(s)? Were any of them disbanded in the turmoil after the French invasion?
2) Were they actually made of foreigners from their respective nations? If so could they be replaced when the regiment inevitably took casualties?
3) What uniforms did they wear? (pictures preferred)
4) How good were they generally?

Thanks for your time.

Historical Discussion / Light Infantry Companies
« on: June 01, 2014, 01:08:08 am »
Hello folks:

Got a simple question for you: when did Europeon countries begin to adopt light companies in line infantry battalions? I know several countries used grenzers, jaegers, and chasseurs since before the Seven Years War; and both sides of the American Revolutionary war had light companies. But when were they adopted?

Media / Moldplayer's Video Shack
« on: December 20, 2013, 05:42:46 am »
Hello folks. As of late I have been making a number of videos of my fellow 19te members in and out of NW. I do not upload long videos of the events themselves, but rather pick the funny/random moments and add some text in the hopes of making them humorous.

I have just released four parts of Project Zomboid (with Patriot streaming/narrating it) and I have a few other videos up right now.

Modifications / A Question
« on: December 15, 2013, 07:28:20 pm »
Hello again folks. As of late I have been trying to replace the commands/warcries of the Prussian units into commands given out by a few fellows in my regiment. I renamed the files accordingly however when I tried to test them out they did not work.

What do I have to do to change this?

Historical Discussion / Upon Grenades
« on: December 08, 2013, 05:46:01 am »
Hello folks. I have been trying to do a bit of research concerning the Seven Years War as of late. When I was searching up the uniforms I wondered if the grenadiers still used grenades in this conflict. A internet search did not help me as all of them said roughly that they were abolished early in the 18th century, however it does not give even the slightest of a time frame.

If any of you fellows out there could help me out with this I would be much appreciated!
