Events: NA / ⚔MoskovGren's Saturday 2v2 Line Only [NA] 2/6 OPEN
« on: January 30, 2016, 06:46:17 am »

Tired of going to laggy events, getting shot by artillery, OA'd by skirms, or annihilated by cavalry? Look no further, the MoskovGren Line only event is just the place for you. Here in this event, there will only be four regiments, each playing line infantry, and working together to out maneuver, and out wit the enemy! The event is based competitive, and regiments may reapply every week to reserve their slots. This server is located in Beaumarchais, Canada and is 200 slots. It is very optimal and performs well, however may have slightly higher than usual ping for West Coast players, although no big game changer.

Firing on the charge is not allowed
Minimum of 3 to be a line, once down to 2, they must join a friendly line
Light Infantry is not considered line, but guard infantry is
No Spacing is allowed
No crouching
No intentional officer aiming

Official Servers Bans & Unbans / Unban Request MoskovGren_Kpt_Lyova_Eoffe

Name under which you were banned - MoskovGren_Kpt_Lyova_Eoffe
Server(s) you are banned from:NW_Offical_NA1
What was happening when you got banned: I believe I was banned for breaking the rules on the FSE forum, although I had 2 previous bans for breaking NA1 recruiting policy.
Did you break any other rules prior to your ban? (this may include any prior bans, or any other rules you were or were not punished for) I believe I was banned for breaching terms and agreement of FSE, but I am now unbanned from FSE, and it has been a long time since.
Time and date when the account was banned: I believe I was banned March 2015
Timezone:Eastern Standard
User Identification Number* (This is a number server admins can find in their logs THIS IS NOT YOUR CD KEY, DONT POST YOUR CD KEY!) I don't know
Why should you be unbanned? It has been a very long time and I miss playing on NW NA1, I won't be doing anything else to break rules

Also, I'm not sure which name I was banned under since I believe I was banned while not being in the server

Community / Regimental Native Night (NA)
« on: February 08, 2015, 03:02:36 am »
Hello,

I've been "Linebattling" for 3 years now and it's getting repetitive. As much as I love Napoleonic Wars, I was wondering if any other regiment would be interested in doing a regimental event on native (non-scrimmage) consisting of archers, cavalry and infantry. As far as getting an actual server to host it on I still need to look into and possibly speak to some native players. But if you are interested in bringing your regiment over for 1 day to a native event probably at 7,8, or 9 EST please leave a post on how many you can bring or if you are simply interested and are willing to support the idea.

EDIT: Please post the day that works best for you, so far Friday seems like the best day for most regiments

What was happening when you got banned: Out of all the times I've been banned, I understand. However, this time I don't think it was very fair for me to get banned but I can see why Xethos viewed it that way. What happened was, I sent out a recruiting message and forgot to place my steam name at the end, so I figured I'd right after sending the first one, retype it, fix up all the grammatical errors and place my steam name at the end, I also like just joined the server, and then boom I was banned.

Why should you be unbanned? I've been playing on the server for two years, my regiment goes on there a lot, it's good fun. It's not like I go out of my way saying slurs or anything just like playing on the server and recruiting

Server(s) you are banned from:NW_ Official_NA1
What was happening when you got banned: Right so he's a new recruit who just joined (11/7/14), and his name is Silent too, he mistakenly thought his rank was Gusr and we have had another guy in our regiment who was there much longer named silent too, with the exact same rank and name. Therefore, our old silent thought the silent he saw was an imposter or troll so he asked Getty to perm ban him, just a misunderstanding.

Why should you be unbanned? It was clearly a misunderstanding :/

Community / Question about EU + NA

Is an NA regiment allowed to take an EU's regiment name and use it at the same time the EU regiment is or vice versa allowed?

Name under which you were banned - Leib-Gvardii_Rotmistr_Lyef
Server(s) you are banned from: NW_Official_NA1
What was happening when you got banned: I was kicked from the server earlier for sending out more than one recruitment message, I come back a few hours later, sent one recruitment message and was permanently banned. This is my original story, now that I spoke to Superbad over steam it makes more sense, here is what I believe actually happened. I was typing out a recruitment message, and then I tabbed out for various reasons seeing it wasn't the next round (I just joined the server), when I retabbed I noticed the message was to my understanding, erased, I then proceeded to retyping my recruitment message, which landed me with a permanent ban. To summarize, I was typing the recruitment message, tabbed, was erased, retyped, and was banned. I guess it appeared when I tabbed and when I retyped it for the second time was the offense for my ban, my apologies.

                                                       About Leib-Gvardii

The Leib-Gvardii Gusarskii Polk which translates into Lifeguard Hussar Regiment is a North American based cavalry regiment playing as the Russian Hussars. The polk has gone through many names, and different playing styles. From its humble beginnings of September 27th, 2013 as a Line polk to now, a cavalry and artillery based polk. Whilst a Line regiment, we achieved great glory, by placing 3rd and 4th in the NA Napoleonic Wars League and a smashing 100 wins and 32 loses all in just one regiment vs. another. Now however, we will be turning a new leaf, and starting over, giving up our old traditions as line, to now, cavalry and artillery. In the polk, all we ask from our members is to be active, and the desire to improve their own skill to improve the prestige and glory of the polk. In the Leib-Gvardii, we welcome new and old players alike!

History of the Lifeguard Hussars

In 1775 was formed a single squadron of guard hussars by taking the best troopers from the existing tvelve hussar regiments. This squadron accompanied the empress during solemn occassions and served as her escort. Tsar Paul ordered to increase its strength from one to four squadrons and in 1796 entire regiment was formed.
Their uniform was copied from that of the Prussian hussars of Frederick the Great and their squadrons were given silver trumpets. The Lifeguard Hussars were the ultimate in flamboyance, for parade their officers wore leopard pelts. Dancing, drinking and romancing were the highlights of their life in the capital. The sight of the guard hussar in his parade dress could reverse the flow of the blood in woman's veins. Company commander, Denis Davidov, with 2 crosses for bravery around his neck and 2 other decorations on his chest, mentions how his head "was kept in a spin" after being on leave and enjoying Moscow's pleasures. (Davydov - "In the Service of the Tsar against Napoleon: the memoirs of Denis Davidov, 1806-1814" 1999, p 69)
Austerlitz was their very first appearance on the battlefield and the French Guard Cavalry routed them. In 1806-1807 the Lifeguard Hussars fought in Heilsberg and Friedland. For the entire campaign they were awarded with 112 crosses. (Benkendorf - "Kratkaya Istoriya Leib-Gvardii Gusarskogo Ego Velichestva Polka" 1879)
Before the Battle of Ostrovno in 1812, two squadrons of Lifeguard Hussars acted as the rear guard of the retreating Russian corps. They routed French 8th Hussars but during the pursuit the 16th Chasseurs strucked them in the flank. The Russians were routed and as a result a Russian horse battery and 150 prisoners were captured. Meshetich, who participated in this fight, gave other version of these events in “Istoricheskie zapiski.” He wrote that the 2 squadrons noticed French advance posts in a wood and rushed forward but were met by fire from dismounted chasseurs deployed on both sides of the road. Behind the wood stood mass of French cavalry, which soon advanced and threw the Lifeguard Hussars back. The horse battery led by Kardyba was away from the hussars but lost half of its 12 guns.
In Borodino the Lifeguard Hussars attacked the square of 84th Line Infantry but without horse artillery and success. They fought very well in Vinkowo against French cuirassiers, and at Tarutino and Krasne where they captured enemy's battery. In 1813 they fought with distinction in Lutzen, Bautzen and Leipzig. In Leipzig they were crushed by French cuirassiers despite a ferocious resistance and sacrifice of their officers. In April they were awarded with St. George standards for the entire campaign. In 1814 they fought at Fère Champenoise.

Quotes and Events

In 1812 the Lifeguard Hussar's first encounter with
the French invaders was a specific one.   Roman Soltyk writes:
"… a strong troop of Muscovite hussars halted at about a 100
paces from our weak advance guard. … Coming toward us,
the officer shut out in French: Qui vive ?
"France!" - our men reply quietly.
"What are you doing here ? F… off !" - shouted the hussar.

"Three german light-horsemen put at me.
I quickly succeeded in closing with one of them.
My sharp saber took him just in the jagular.
The other two fired at me and fled yelling."
- hussar officer, Battle of Leipzig 1813

I would just like to say this, RussianFury is not able to make his own account, I've made it for him. He's been banned for a few months now and learned not to do it again. He understands why he was banned and not to use any homophobic, or any slur in general on the server.

Moskovskii Leyb Grenader polk (1-y batal'on)

The Moskovskii Leyb Grenader polk proudly fights for the Black Sea Coalition, we serve currently, as the only Grenadier Unit in the Coalition, with our Yeniceri brethren. The regiment have been around for for nearly a year now, with plenty of experience in linebattling and private one on battles. We have a dedicated staff, and committed members. The Moskov Grenaders try to shape themselves as a well disciplined regiment and effective on the battlefield. We mostly recruit North Americans, but are extending our borders to internationals, who think they can handle our schedule and policy. We are one of "those" regiments who abide by strict PTS, but we still have a good time.
