routine? Been doing it so long it feels natural ??? I recently came back with some friends and I'm trying to find what makes NW 1) so easy to return to 2) why everyone is still the same and continuing.
What I mean by 1 is, games like Call of Duty you play for a bit get bored and never touch it again, why can NW get you back into it all so soon? 2 - you're all still doing 1v1's, the same events etc.

Not playing it properly, though, are the people who hop from regiment to regiment, not really making any true friends, and then either quitting altogether or moving on to leading their own regiment, which somehow often ends up with tons of members before it disbands.

People come back because no one who played in a regiment for a good amount of time didn't have at least one amazing moment with those people. It's a game you can laugh at, with friends, and equally be super competitive about. It fits a lot of sub-audiences in the audience that plays this sort of game.

"Community" is too broad. Everyone should have a reason to hate "the community" by now, if they've been around for long enough. It's the community that they're in that they like, whether it be an immediate, regiment level, or bigger, like the regiments that they always fight with/against.

Like, for Arma and other games like that, it's too much, too serious. And for games like Call of Duty, wtf even is the point making clans? In NW I like the time period portrayed, I like how silly it can be, and I like the friends I've made along the way. It's not perfect, but right now I'm content to keep playing. Have been since 2011. Also the 60th Rifles is the best regiment, NW?

1vs1 and big lb´s are sometimes boring but nw has evolved. We have now the NWL ( the nwl is old but nvm ),NLC ( damm global chat ),RGL,GFL,Cav leagues and now a duel League.This events bring variety.

I started off on a random server (tropical paradise ::)) then got recruited into a line inf regiment and started playing properly. I used to play mainly as artillery with a few cav reg's in between, which i was pretty good at. Now i'm in the current 2nd/1st best reg (probably 2nd though) as a gren, so i guess i haven't got that much else to do but get even better, which with the collapse of all the longstanding regiments as well as those that rose to become very good and competitive ones doesn't seem so rewarding.

Other than that it has to be some of the friends I have now and actual regiments that don't fuck around.

I think i'm playing at the moment for a laugh I don't think it'll last long, people expect regiments to last years why? They cost shit tons and I personally just want my moneys worth. 2-3 months of officer killing will be enough I think, most of regiment 60. are on the same page.

I thought people like Chieef and Macca would've put me off by now. Sadly not. I don't know what it is about this game, but i sure wish i could just uninstall it and never have to go on it again.

The Thread title is What keeps you playing not why, I want to know. I don't see why people who have nothing to add to a conversation bother leaving their unnecessary posts, if you don't care then ignore the thread? The thread is about the game not people personal reasons like you make it out to be.

I attend regimental events of course and play with ma bud on Commander battle but really in whole Im done with NW. Its mostly because that I find servers like Battle and siege pretty boring now and how its just the same ol guy gets shot while trying to hide in a bathroom or a person clutches through and stuff like that.

The main thing that would ever get me back would be commander battle by a landslide. CB was actually the main reason I may have bought NW other than getting in a regimental events. I would always try to tell ma buddy about formations and such and ideas on how to win, and how to improve on that certain formation we tried in CB and how great it was to see the enemy being utterly crushed by our organized force of Dim witted A.I 8) CB to this day still makes my day and I bet if I had the choice of playing CB or be in an event, CB would be first ;).

Regimental events are still great as well. Heck without regimental events, I bet ya wouldn't be the guy right now posting right now. The days of the 22e were by the highest point of my day. Every guy there had a personalty that you wouldn't expect in a ordinary reg. Our reg leader was the dankest commander of em all, our members were of a diverse and dank backgrounds, making it feel like a real motly crew of friends and buds, and the combination of having fun and being disciplined was just right. It was the greatest time of my NW gaming career if I have to say. And like all good times they had to end. The remnants of the 22e still remain in Weastside, home of great king Kimawue who will deliver us from the evil of the fugs. RULE WEASTSIDE!!!

Nowadays I just play other mods for warband and other games more. I still play NW but only with my buds and in events. so yeh..... sorry for the long ass post by the way :D

Also this game keeps me busy with Native. I only play NW for linebattles and being able to do something with the 92nd. For the most I just play Native campaign. Good waiting game untill Bannerlord comes out.

How ironic then that you like to switch regiments a lot, but the 18e has merged with 92nd so i guess you may stay there.

Personally the game has gotten dry to me, but my buddies in the Prussian Army really make it enjoyable. The community is not the greatest, I having an incident with the 92nd, but its all in the past and I look back at it now and laugh because this game wont be here forever, however the great friendships i've made with my Regiment and the Prussian Army is worth it to come back every Tuesday and Friday night to do the same thing.

P.S. Shout out to Argos, Turtle, Welder, Vex(Derp), Hensley, Hoffman, and Stotz. Love you guys <3

Also for people who say community is shit, it's kinda funny because its never "you're" fault that it is shit. Also I was 14 years old when i took over the 8th and I am 20 now and still leading it. Over the time people have just accepted lowering the standards of reg members and community members, long story short 14 year olds back then had the responsibility of building this community and know we are letting some people degrade what we have built with our friends to have fun after a day of work, school, and Etc.

But the community will never bore me, that is why we are also playing other different games, and having different events in NW, instead of just the same linebattle events.
