The 33rd Regiment of Foot is proud to Host our New Lord of the Rings Event taking place every other Wednesday from 19:00 lasting until 20:00 (UK time). The intention with this event is to offer the community a Lord of the Rings themed event based around an interactive campaign, where the outcomes of various rounds will impact progress on an FSE campaign map. Events will involve battle, conquest and sieges , maintaining some novelty value as they will be hosted every other week.

Introduction
The 33rd Regiment of foot is proud to host it's new Tuesday Event, based on the Lord of the Rings which will occur every Tuesday every week.
The Events currently take the form of 1 Siege round, followed by several line battle rounds and ending with conquest.
The next event will be on Tuesday 21st of May - please have all of your guys on the server at 6:55pm gmt
The event will be hosted on our server at 6:55-8:00pm GMT and will contain between 120-160 players. Each event itself will consist of a mixture of LineBattle, Conquest and Siege rounds, depending on which part of the campaign map (see below) is attacked. To get our attendees suitably immersed, we have a full compliment of maps for every area on the campaign map, to keep the event feeling unique with every new action. In addition skins have been made for the sides of good and evil, with some unique weapons for many classes as well.
Over the hour in which the event takes place the sides of good and evil will take turns attacking regions, the victor being able to choose the next map to play on next on the campaign map (if one side wins 3 in a row then the opposite team will be allowed to choose the next region); proceeding to fight 1 round of Battle/Siege/Conquest on the appropriate map to decide the outcome. Depending on how quickly these rounds are resolved, will influence how many different rounds/maps are played during any given event.
We will try to keep the teams balanced each week, which may mean we can't always accommodate a regiment playing for the same faction every week (however this will be preferred if possible).

Taking Regions
When attacking a region, a team must attack from a controlled region, to a linked enemy or contested region. If the attacking force is victorious then they will take that region.
If a contested region is attacked and the defending force is successful, then it remains contested.
Each week one extra region will become contested, taken from the team with the most controlled regions.

Due to lack of interest from our line and line officers, the 1stEB will no longer coming as lights. Our cav, however, will remain as far as I know. Thanks for hosting, very interesting maps and gameplay and good luck!

we have a free space for a reg that can bring line AND arty - we have 1 siege round every week with several battles and a conquest round. we require artillery for the siege round (for the maps that have arty!), but to then join its line for the LB / conquest rounds.
This is mostly a line position, however with arty attached :)
edit: also if a reg can bring line and lights with decent numbers this may be considered!

After a good run of nearly 8 Months, the event has come to an end.
Thanks to all the regiments who have attended during this time and made the event fun for all of us.
The event will most likely be replaced with a Siege event using the old maps from 33rd NW Siege and more on the same day.
Hope to see some regiments from this event there aswell but I can understand if you guys don't want to. ;D

The 33rd Regiment of Foot is proud to Host our New Lord of the Rings Event taking place every other Wednesday from 19:00 lasting until 20:00 (UK time). The intention with this event is to offer the community a Lord of the Rings themed event based around an interactive campaign, where the outcomes of various rounds will impact progress on an FSE campaign map. Events will involve battle, conquest and sieges , maintaining some novelty value as they will be hosted every other week.
