|Information| The 3e Regiment De Cuirasiers is a regiment founded on November 5th 2018, by some veterans of the NW community.  The ambition of this regiment is to create a solid and serious structure in order to be well known in the best way among the North American and European communities. Therefore, the 3eRC is opened to all players, regardless of their levels. Each member varies from new players to veterans of the game. One of the most important goals of the 3eRC is to make the group progress, not by means of individualizes, but by a exceptional teamwork. In 1807 a detachment was sent to Spain where it was combined with detachments from the 1st and 2nd Cuirassiers and the 1st and 2nd Carabiniers to form the 1st Provisional Heavy Cavalry (designated as the 13th Cuirassiers at the end of 1808). From 1809 on the regiment served in the battles of Eckmühl, Essling, Wagram, Ostrowono, Smolensk, Borodino, Dresden, Liebertwolkwitz, Leipzig, Champaubert, Fère-Champenoise. During the First Restoration (1814), the regiment was given the designation of the Régiment de Cuirassiers du Dauphin. With the return of Napoleon I in 1815, the regiment was renamed the 3eme Régiment de Cuirassiers. It fought at Ligny and Waterloo. Although they were of lower status than cuirassiers and rode on smaller horses, they were in combat more often. The dragoons were universal troops, they could skirmish, scout, fight dismounted and make all-out charge in pitched battle. In Auerstadt in 1806 one regiment of Prussian dragoons scattered some of GdD Gudin's seasoned infantry out of formation and left 600 men killed and wounded. To several dragoons regiments were attached small detachments of horse volunteer-jagers. Regiments / The Royal Army of Greater Germany

General Information

The Royal Army of Greater Germany has no Supreme Commander. Each regiment is led by its own leadership. The purpose of the Army is to cooperate when on the battlefield, and to work together in training and other army events. In battles a commander will be elected as the situation arises from amongst the Regimental leaders.

In addition to this, The army does not enforce any sort of rank schemes on any army regiment. New Members retain their already entrenched ranking systems of their regiment.  However, as Germans, all members will be expected to act with discipline and honour on the field.

The army is open to all types of regiments with priority to Infantry and Artillery groups. Any Prussian regiment who would like to get involved with the Royal Army of Greater Germany are encouraged to message a leader of Großdeutschland for discussion between all leaders before a decision is made.

History of the Royal Canadian Voltiguers

As war with the United States threatened, on 15 April 1812 Sir George Prevost, the Governor General of Canada, authorised the enlistment of a Provincial Corps of Light Infantry under Lieutenant Colonel Charles de Salaberry, to serve during war or the "apprehension of war".

The unit was officially part of the militia, and its enlisted personnel were subject to the Militia laws and ordinances, but for all practical purposes, it was administered on the same basis as the Fencible units, also raised in Canada as regular soldiers but liable for service in North America only.

De Salaberry selected members of the leading families of Lower Canada as officers, but their commissions were not confirmed until they had recruited their quota of volunteers (for example, 36 men for Captains, 14 for Lieutenants). Several other officers transferred from units of the British Army stationed in Canada, in the hope that they would gain rank or seniority by the transfer. Most of these officers remained with the Voltigeurs even when these ambitions were not fulfilled.
