That's the thing, not every regimental leader actually have the reflex to ask a referee for their match or do it sometimes at the very last moment so when I know I will be free, I try to position myself on an available match rather than wait for a leader to wake up and ask last minute because I may have made other plan in the meantime. Obviously, there are plenty of other leaders who are experienced enough and are used to ask beforehand.

If you had to ask Chriseh, he would tell you that it's on them if they don't take the time to look for a referee themselves, but at the end of the day, the aim is to provide the best experience possible for everyone so as long as people don't mind me being their referee, I don't mind being the first one to offer my service when I am available.
