We represent the 3rd Centre Company, 43rd 'Monmouthshire' Regiment of foot. Formed from members from the 4te Silesian Ladwehr, the 43rd is a unit that focuses more on creating a realistic military structure and setting during an American Civil War setting. The unit will focus on organization and cooperation between different sub units. My main goal of this unit is to create a strong and effective skirmisher company, that can be divided into two independent platoons to tackle any tactical situation. The regiment is not based around skill, it is based around having a good time playing the game, enjoying the company, and being respectful to all of those around you.

Here is a list of things to expect from the 43rd.

  • First and foremost, Respect to both members of the regiment (both to subordinates and superiors) and other members of the community. I understand that this is an internet regiment and I want every member of the community to be treated with respect and kindness. With that said there has to be a certain respect given to the officers decisions and commands on the field.
  • Second, organization. As a regiment leader my favorite part of my regiment is the organization that I put into it. The 2ndUSS will be as organized as historically possible, starting on the section level, and including both platoon and company level organization.
  • Finally, Fun. We are here to have a good time and enjoy ourselves, and as leader it is my job to make sure that everyone is having a good time. Any concerns, questions, or suggestions on how to improve the regiment can and should be brought to me at any time.

1st Battalion in action 1811

Captain [Capt]:
The Captain is in charge of one of the battalions Company's. His job is to make sure that his company meets the standards of the regiment, and that it is a well operating unit. He oversees his Lieutenants, and organizes his company into platoons. The captain is in charge of making sure all of his subordinates do their duty, leads in the field, and does administrative work when he needs to. The captain is a leader and example to his men, and should do his best to portray his ideals to his men.

First Lieutenant [1stLt]:

The First Lieutenant is the second command of a company, and is in charge of the company's first platoon. The 1stLt will be in charge of his platoon and will be assisted by his NCO's to keep the platoon up to standards. He will lead in the field in the companies are doing company drill (with independent command of platoons), is in charge of keeping the appropriate paperwork, (attendance promotions, ect.) as well as running a  weekly inspection of his men. To reach the rank of 1stLt you must have previously been an officer for an extended period, and have proven yourself as a platoon leader.

Maybe reserving the name for future use in a couple months, or might not use it.

We shall see.

Reports:

October 14th

After Action Report

Event:Tuesday Hardcore Linebattle
Attendance:1st Platoon: 9 men
2nd Platoon: 10 men

total:
3 officers
2 NCO's
14 Enlisted

Report:Our second event. Started with a 15 minute training in formations, teaching the new recruits. First map went well, with the 43rd routing (I shit you not) three lines while we held our own. Shooting and melee were successful. 2nd map was tiny and our left flank was rolled the first round, howitzer's devastated the line. Second round had limited success holding the left flank. Third map the platoons split to ambush a line crossing the bridge, to great success. 2nd round ended in many melee kills and lots of chaos. Lt. Kennedy got 4 kills, including a pistol point blank.

After Action Report

Event:Tuesday Hardcore Linebattle
Attendance:1st Platoon: 11 men
2nd Platoon: 6 men

total:
2 officers
1 NCO's
14 Enlisted

Report:Second week of doing events, was an ok lineabattle. Neither 2nd Platoon officers were on so 2nd Platoon attendance was considerably lower than usual. We had around 5-6 recruits who were all attending their first event, which unfortunately was a double ranks event; however, the recruits held their own on the formations. Attendance stayed consistent throughout the event, having 14 men at dismissals. The first map started with us taking hits right out of spawn. The enemy quickly took the hill dominating the map and Captain Hobbs led a failed attempt to retake the hill (I apologize). The second round went much the same.

The second map was medium for around 150 people and was cramped. Our skirmishers were heavily outnumbered by the enemy and our team was annihilated. The 43rd were the last line on UK and succeeded it taking out 5-6 men with a point blank volley, another 8-10 in the ensuing melee, and another 3-4 in the fight for the colors. Privates March Lynch and David George distinguished themselves fighting for the battalion colors. Private George managed to cause a quadruple teamkill at the end of the round. The next round was equally successful, with the 43rd scoring multiple long range shooting kills.

The third map was taken by Lt. Berch, and using the terain to his advantage he managed to successfully engage enemy skirmishers. Pulling back Captain Hobbs managed to lure both the enemy skirmishers and another line into an ambush, as they crested the hill the 43rd jumped from the trench and began to attack the unorganized enemy. Private Lynch managed to kill the Kapitan of the Prussian Jager Kompanie. The second round was also led by Berch, and taking the right side of the map, point blank volley fire exchanged with a Friekorps line left the 43rd bloodied and Lt. Berch dead. Capt. Hobbs resumed command and working with the 3rdSS and 19te managed to surround and rout another line of Friekorps.

Cheers guys!

Currently the plan is actually to start as a light company and do about one event a week, and then go from there.

It won't be active immediately however.
