The Union Army proudly presents: The Union Army Sunday Linebattle.

This event shall be hosted every Sunday at 20:00 BST(15:00 EST).

Rules for Staff
Staff
Staff should always play as a staff/General unit in-game.
Staff may only fire their pistol when have formed up with another unit
A division\side leader can have up to 3 staff members one being a signal sergeant and two as offices for scouting purposes
Staff cannot Rambo by them self must be near their brigade or a friendly line

Lines
Units must have an officer playing as the officer class.
Lines must have 8 or more men.
If you have Less than 4 men left in a line, you must join another.
Crouching is only allowed behind Walls and fences.
Lines may use skirmish formation whilst up against walls and fences (No Entering of Houses)
Fire in the Charge is allowed.
No reloading in Combat.
Musicians and Medics Allowed.

Information



The Eagle Brigade is part of the wider Army of the Potomac [UA] [EU/NA] (click the header for the forum post) and works in an organised manner during events. The Brigade also provides a teamspeak along with channels to manage, communicate and interact with fellow regiments and the wider Army. Eagle Brigade was formed during the days of North and South and will continue within Battle Cry of Freedom.
In Game Rules

Standard Rules

No teamkilling.
No Ramboing.
No trolling.
No Spamming, no global chat except officers or leaders.
Listen to, and obey, the admins.
Quick note on Medics - Every regiment may take 2 sergeant's as this is the class that can bandage you when you are bleeding. No medics.
Regarding towns / city play - All classes may enter buildings, and in cities/towns/buildings you may use skirmisher formation (Crouching behind any terrain)

Rules for Staff
Staff
Staff should always play as a staff/General unit in game and not as cavalry
Staff may not charge on horseback. Can only charge on horseback when accomplished with friendly cavalry. Staff will have to dismount it not accomplished with a friendly cavalry unit and charge with a friendly line to attack a line. Can stay mounted if charged by cavalry
Staff may only fire their pistol when have formed a line as staff members on horseback
A division leader can have up to 3 staff members one been a signal sergeant and two as offices for scouting purposes
Brigade leader can have two staff members as offices for scouting purposes no signal sergeant!

Information



The Union Army was the land force that fought for the Union during the American Civil War. It consisted of the small United States Army (the regular army), augmented by massive numbers of units supplied by the Northern states, composed of volunteers as well as conscripts. The Union Army fought and eventually defeated the smaller Confederate States Army during the war, which lasted from 1861 to 1865. About 360,000 died from all causes; some 280,000 were wounded.

The Confederate States Army was the military ground force of the Confederate States of America, also known as the "Confederacy", while the Confederacy existed during the American Civil War.On February 28, 1861, the Provisional Confederate Congress established a provisional volunteer army and gave control over military operations and authority for mustering state forces and volunteers to the President of the Confederate States of America, Jefferson Davis. On March 6 and 9, 1861, the Provisional Confederate Congress passed additional military legislation and established a more permanent Confederate States Army.
