One last question does the script.txt or sounds.txt make the ogg files work? Cause in the folder it's all wav. :o

Getting the best out of your game, FPS wise.


First of all, if you know your computer won't handle this, go ahead and just install the lite version, that one will work fine!

Okay, so, you've picked the full version, what can you do to ensure good performance?

Use your brain! 200 players firing in volleys means a lot of smoke, for some people, depending upon their rig, this will cause lag. So what can you do?

You can use NW's very handy " high detail particle systems " option!

Do not be afraid to use it! All it does is lower the number of particles, it still looks great, trust me!

If I were to play on a siege server for example, and it had 20 people on, I would have 'high detail particle systems' turned on, however if this server had over 160ish, I would consider turning that off.
