It's an extremely positive sight for the scene that to have the last three 'major' competitions having been won by different regiments. I don't think there are many examples across a decade of competitive regimental NW where the reigning regiment was still indisputably strong yet left room for two of his contenders to pick up relevant wins.
Amazing too that the 55th is able to win such a stacked edition of the RGT while their last regimental melee tournament to date (the MRGL) was broken-winded at best. Helps you measure how far this line-up has come. Props especially to Quenouille who has seemingly never lost faith in this 55th project despite having received 'arguably' better offers at times. Loyalty such as his does not always get rewarded to its true cost but always command respect.
An RGL in September would be absolutely mesmerizing with the level offered by the regimental scene tonight.
