Yay or Nay: Newbie Tournament?
« on: October 13, 2016, 11:39:52 pm »
I think this has been brought up before but whateva

In NWL, I feel like leagues 2 and 3 are overshadowed by league 1. So I think it would be nice to make a new tournament strictly for these newer, less competitive regiments. It would give these regiments more 1v1 experience and help their confidence. Would anyone be interested in this type of thing or do you think it would just be a waste of time?

Note: I'm not saying NWL should get rid of their leagues. Just think it would be nice for these regiments to get the spotlight for once

I think this idea would be great for those regiments who do NOT try competitive for fear of being completely outclassed.

Go for it!

Sounds like a good idea.  I know a few regiments who have talked about being more competitive but scrapped the idea due to their lack of experience.  Can't say if they would still be interested.

You could also allow established regiments to bring recruits and not as good players with a newer leader too.
Like my daddy always said, you always gotta get the nut.

Like a development league?

The only problem I kind of see with this league idea is that newer regiments tend to just disband after a couple months. I feel like it is pretty rare in the  c u r r e n t y e a r  to find a stable and new regiment.

frankly I don't trust some of those established regiments (i.e. the 1er) to bring newer players

Superbad: if they do disband maybe the members will have a new interest in the competitive side. And also it wouldn't just be for newer regiments. It would be for regiments that are intrested in the competitive side but don't have a lot of players with competitive experience
