As I already said in pms, you should make it more clear otherwise players like Twister, Jakob, Chuckster, Achilles and others which weren’t added in All-Time list yet would have a chance to hard carry their .teams against actual rookies. I’ve got nothing against these players or sth, just saying that it’s quite unfair that players such as specimen as example or KOBZIK can’t play in it, but apparently players which are not on the list but performing better overall can… In Twisters case you should make something like a mentor per team.Agreed, I can actually cross myself and specimen (even tho he is not that experienced as the players I will be talking about) of the roster if such players as Jakob, LuLu, Shneider etc wouldn`t be allowed here (I have nothing against any of you but rookie tournament is a rookie tournament). I believe these are good players that played at least a year in some decent teams which were more than capable of going out of groupstages and even had palmares.

True, though that's few and far between; chances are, if you're benched in a top team, you've probably played main at some point in a worse team that just won groups, to be honest there shouldn't really be much criteria, if they're known to be decent (like the majority if not all of akatsuki) then don't allow them to play. Rookie tournaments should be for inexperienced players (much like the Native tournament that NNN won), if you're known in the community and have played a while, then you should probably not be included.

All of this could have been avoided if there had been no prior mention of the word 'rookie' in your tournament. Could have been calling that a 'Low Tier players' tournament (which it basically is) and it would have been fine. There are no real 'rookies' in NW, or at least not enough to make it worth it for Blitz or other people to host a tournament that literally prevents anyone but rookie to play. Obviously, people whose teams consist of the newest/less experimented players will argue for the term 'rookie' to be taken literally so that they have greater chances of making a deep playoffs run.There will be a rule today about you and Kennedy being able to play
With that being said, I like some of the ideas implemented to decide who should be prevented and who shouldn't. It means Kennedy and I won't get to play for the 13e Academy like we were planning to but so long as I don't see people similar to us in skill/tournament record/experience allowed to play, I am entirely fine with it. On the other hand, any ruleset shouldn't be taken literally for a tournament such as these and you should allow certain situations to be dealt with on a case per case basis. For example, I have an indisputable better record than someone like Ruler (Audric), been playing for longer, for much better teams, etc... yet there is no denying he has been a much more skilled player on the field across the past two years and a half.
I won't make a huge deal if he gets to play and I don't but that's just to highlight how blurry the line will remain, regardless of how complex and detailed you make your ruleset. Your number one priority should always be to prevent people whose participations are at risk of unbalancing your competition as a whole and this mindset should always be prioritized whilst dealing with accepting/preventing a player to participate, regardless if it follows your ruleset line per line.

I spoke to Blitz about Hellstaff before putting him on our roster. He meets the requirements but if he were to be taken off in future due to the player by player basis then so be it.

They all meet the requirements set in the first post. Saying that I will take a look at them and see if it is appropriate to ban them from the tournament.
I think it is important to remember that even tho these players are medium tier at best. They could still be rookies, good rookies but still rookies. I myself have only been in the competitive scene for 6 months. Have 1.2 hours in the comp scene and another 600 on tropical paradise, by that logic I am a rookie. Only thing stopping me from playing is the fact I am in a top EGS team.

I know that he made some bad things. I didn`t realise it was Jojo13 in my team using the nickname Applecard. Before I say some of my observations I have to mention that I don`t defend him for what he has done to you or anyone else. I consider it to be really inappropriate. But I have to say that during the time we played together he has done nothing wrong to any of TFO members and I don`t think he has to anyone else while using Applecard nickname. He hosted a duel tournament as well which is kinda contribution to the community
So after all, I don`t think he should be unbanned from FSE but maybe he can get a chance just to play the game?

I've not seen him reject entire teams due to a single player. He has always told teams that a specific player can't play and therefore they have to update the roster but he never denied an entire team bc of this

problem with tournaments like this is, everyone has an opinion on what is a rookie and what isn't and myself and the other organisers are doing our best to make the tournament fairly well balanced whilst allowing as many players to play as possible.

Just thought id make a post on FSE. Due to Vixtro not getting his player's GUID on in time i was unable to check it on FSE and other sites to determine the age of the player. Vixtro assured me it was a fairly new player so I allowed him to play. During a match we checked the GUID and found that upon inspection this player was not a new player and old player.
In the group stages Vixtro's team won 5-4 twice. because of this and the fact the player should not have been allowed to play we decided to ban the player from playing any more rounds instead of disqualifying the team or gifting a free round to the enemy. The problem in communication between us both is what caused this issue and Im sorry to Vixtro's team who was affected by this as it is partly my fault for being lazy last minute and not checking the GUID's sooner.

90% of smylies roster was not rookies, we told him that, and xx15 was not one of the players who was told he couldn't play, however several others were told and as a result the team as a whole didnt play since the roster wasn't fixed in time, people should use common sense when signing up a team for a 'rookie' tournament, they know fine well who can and cannot be classified as a rookie, and some are questionable players who would need spoken about as it was done player to player for most of it. If people can't use common sense then that is not our problem.

GVT won 2-0 so it got added onto the GVT vs elements fight so that the brackets would update accordingly

90% of smylies roster was not rookies, we told him that, and xx15 was not one of the players who was told he couldn't play, however several others were told and as a result the team as a whole didnt play since the roster wasn't fixed in time, people should use common sense when signing up a team for a 'rookie' tournament, they know fine well who can and cannot be classified as a rookie, and some are questionable players who would need spoken about as it was done player to player for most of it. If people can't use common sense then that is not our problem.I never claimed that the rest of the asatro team were rookies, that wasn't my point at all. Its just that you specifically denied xx15 (and don't pretend like you didn't, because blitzkrieg confirmed it in the post above you). You guys could've literally asked anyone outside of the 55th that actually knows who xx15 is and they would have been able to tell you that he is a perfect example of a rookie. You should know full well that just because someone is in the 15th doesn't mean they are good at NW.
